- The century plant is native to Mexico but can grow in the south given our hot and tropical climate. It takes between 8 to 30 years to grow.
I love this ❤and the woman is a treasure, blessings 🙏
I asked for and received an off shoot of one about 10 years ago from a woman in Covington on the Spring garden tour. Her century plant anchored the front corner of her home and was absolutely stunning! A few years after that I noticed the plant was gone. I was told the woman passed and soon after the plant too.
Oh my goodness I'm from covington, and are you asking about the lady on hwy 36 by chance?
I had a century plant and it sheds little babies. Looks like an artichoke.
Love the climax of this story and the main character❤
It's going to be beautiful.
Nice! We stayed at a hotel in Ft. Walton FL one was blooming it was Amazing

HELP!!! Please LOL 😂 I have watched 4 videos and keep searching for footage of the actual flower in bloom, they say it's bright yellow 🌼 If anyone is able to find video of a follow up/update with the woman's century plant flower bloomed, please please share 💝 I came across this story insanely late but I am still invested nonetheless 😅 I hope someone can help me find it! If I come across the updated footage, I will edit this comment and add the link for others wanting to see this woman and her plant's journey 😊
Congratulations
When will the flower bloom? What is the average time between budding and blooming?
Cool
This happened a year ago in a Chicago conservatory ❤
Wow
Did it flower yet?
Where’s the pictures????
Unfortunately that means it is going to die once the blooms are done. Hope she has multiple little ones growing.
WHERE'S THE BLOOOOM?
I would cut it down so fast
You don't value simple things, appreciate them.
Those plants are dangerous.

It'll pick up a shovel and wack you watch out
