New Axial SCX24 Jeep Gladiator...It's LONG! - Initial Thoughts and First Run

- Axial dropped a new SCX24 on the world-the extended wheelbase Jeep Gladiator. It's long and I like it! They've also added an interior insert and driver head. The new ESC and radio are a definite upgrade for these. It's a much smoother driving experience now. Overall, I think it's amazing. Like all my other SCX24s, this will be getting upgrades to make the experience even more fun. Had a great time with it from Reaction RC Hobbies where I bought it and took it right out of the box to try it. Then went and bought some brass upgrades. :)

Yeah I want one, they look awesome I like the accessories. That tent thing I seen a guy where it opens up and he put like a canvas on it on the sides made it a opening tent, I thought that was pretty cool
Watching again, love my gladiator. Just picked it up from the detail shop, now we have a water jug, shovels and axes our details and highlift Jack looks awesome. I will Getting out there soon

Just bought one a month ago and took that stupid tent off! 32nd" aluminum taneau hit the spot! Some brass on the wheels and you're set, leave it alone after that maybe some tires and be a little smoother on the throttle there 😉

I just got mine and its freakin awesome these acx24 are lil beast..i got my bronco and love it wish i disnt get the hard body but it looks soo soo good in the sun..

Charger was melted for the older models good to know wonder if the new one solved it 👍👍great video 💯
It happened to two of my chargers. I was plugging them directly into my Venom charger usb in the back. Guessing it was a higher amperage than it wanted. Didn’t have that problem with my small iPhone square chargers. But I’ve seen more photos of lipo fires from these than most other batteries. I feel like it being so toy-like that people don’t know the dangers. I do hope this new one solved it. I had a lot of other chargers more like this second one and never had issues with them…even with large capacity 1/10 scale batteries.

Look pretty darn good once again Tony as you say That top scale hardware is a problem but it does look good. The more time Axial Spends on these 24's the better they get. Well done brother. Interesting stuff. I may have to breakdown and get the Scx24 to add to the collection. lol

I can't wait to get mine! I bought Black Rhino wheels for it an the jeep is not even at the hobby shop yet😂😂. Might even swap my wheel weights on this too
the only thing i hate is they keep using stickers for every body details, they need to make molded details for their 24's even if it means higher price ! (in my opinion)

my deadbolt is longer than the new jeep. it has deadbolt rear links and driveshafts on the front and rear.

I am thinking of getting one. Been out of the r/c hobby since late 90’s and things have changed. My one question is how do you charge the battery? Via pc usb port, old 5w Apple charge block?
I hope you have fun with it, you seem pretty disappointed.

Overall I think it’s the best release out of the box. But there are times the length is good and other times not so good.
Hey I know u have a few 1/24. And now the new bronco. Was wondering which one u like more. Was thinking of getting the gladiator but was not sure if the bronco was worth it due to being so top heavy or is it more worth sticking with a non hard body. Let me know thanks.

Is the longer wheel base better than the original scx24? or does it not perform as well as its so top heavy?
It is top heavy with the plastic tent on top. removing that helps a lot. Plus adding some CCxRC brass diff covers helps put weight down low 😉

What tiers and rims are you running on that scx24 betty?..they look like tractor tires id kill for a set of those 🥵🍻
The wheels are injora and the tires are RC4WD mud bashers
I've recently been thinking of buying a SCX24, but I've seen so many things that have left me wondering what to do.
1-On Amazon the Wrangler is about $60 more than the Gladiator.
2-The new Gladiator ESC I've seen on UA-cam has a blue sticker, while the ones on the sites in my country are black with these letters:
AE-6 2.4 GHz ESC/RX
Is that the new ESC with a different sticker or the Gladiator doesn't come with the new ESC in my country? 🤔
No. That is confusing. All the Gladiators come with the new system which is much smoother.
