We all know, Yasuke was chosen over all of them solely because of his race. This was the only overriding factor for Ubi. Basically a fascination about virtue signaling. Ubi should have just made Todo Takatora the protagonist male. His military journey as a humble ashigaru peasant, and ascension to the esteemed rank of daimyo was super fascinating, and displaying remarkable flexibility by changing allegiances seven times and serving under ten different warlords. One of them was Nobunaga himself in 1579. He was 23 years old. And Takatora was admired and respected for his physical qualities such as his impressive strength in battle and his height of 6'3”/ 190 cm. Takatora's body was known to be covered in lesions and battle scars. Beyond his prowess on the battlefield, Takatora has demonstrated remarkable aptitude in many other areas. If we are being honest, Takatora deserves to be the samurai protagonist much more than Yasuke.
