If you are going to spend so much time and effort to do this documentary why do you not put it on high defination? A very good and informative documentary ruined by poor focus and blurry pictures. Shame.

Rio Tinto , that same corporation who dig dip the Papua’s gold. I am fascinated by the Nomad Mongolians, they always look happy, smiling event their lives are not easy. I always feel moved watching those nomads documentary. I wish for their nature to still untouched by greedy corporations. Seeing mining companies in Mongolia made me sad. Because they take so much, destroy the nature and paying taxes to govt, not giving back ditectly to the local people. Local still live poor everywhere around the mining locations around the world.

The Gobi does not have the extreme heat of the Middle East deserts. Hot in Summer but not that hot.
Where does this animals feed on ?? No grass nor plants around for them to feed.
There are plants there. You can see the little bushes in much of the videos. Winter is harsh so that's about the only food they'll have, but it keeps them alive. In summer and autumn there is more food, shrubs, grasses, bushes, etc.
There are wide swathes with almost no food, but they store up food and fat to cross those areas to reach the places where the vegetation is most prevalent.
There I grass and other plants and they are filled with protein and other nutrients due to the sunlight.

Deserts are due to dryness and not temperature.

Again deserts are due not to heat but to dryness. I live in the Great Basin desert and it gets -40 sometimes during the winter. Gobi does the same. Do not call it the Gobi desert. Gobi means desert in Mongolian. Like calling it desert desert.

Please stop calling it the Gobi desert. Gobi in Mongolian means desert. So it is not the Desert Desert.

These people with their animals have made gobi desert.The government should take them off the land and let grasses and trees grow up and regenerate and eventually there will be no desert. Their country and the world will be better off.
