This review was very helpful and made me decide to buy this spiralizer. I'm glad I did! It works much, much better than the plastic one I've been struggling to use. I'd like to point out, though, that the reviewer is not using the on/off switch correctly. If you turn it to "on" when you start to spiralize, the pusher part automatically gets closer to the blade part when you rotate the handle. There's no need to push with your own body weight, as it appears the reviewer is doing. Between the purchase that the blade has on the vegetable, and the pusher automatically moving toward the blade, there's plenty keeping that vegetable moving in the right direction.
Thanks for the tip! I ordered this before seeing this review and it's coming in a couple of days. Does yours squeak loudly all the time like this one does? The squeaking has me a bit less than thrilled!
@@WholeBibleBelieverWoman No, mine doesn't squeak at all. Perhaps hers is squeaking because she's leaning into it.

My plastic spiralizer handle broke coming right off in my hand where it cranks around and around. This metal machine you are reviewing looks like a good choice for my next one.

Seriously considering buying one of these, but can't believe that nobody has asked/inquired about whether or not you can buy extra blades.
If a non-blade insert were available, maybe you could hold a peeler against the vegetable to create sheets.

The black screw comes off but the handle is stuck wont move if I turn it a long time both ways and will not pull or slide off. Where is a video showing how to remove it. Perhaps my spirolizer is bad.
I'm concerned about microplastics. This machine will have my dollars.
My wooden handle came pointed the wrong way, how do I fix this, it won’t come off but the black knob on the end comes off just not the hanfle
Just got mine going! The nut keeping the handle on was very tight. I just kept at it until it loosened. Then the handle was tight like yours. Make sure the setting knob on the upper right side is set at “Off” and pull the handle out. I have some silicone gripping oven mitts and used one to hang onto the shaft while I twisted the handle, it finally loosened. I turned the handle around and turned it and the hut tight but not as tight as the factory setting. If this had not worked, my next thing to try would have been some WD40 (this is a spray on grease lubricant). Also, I had trouble getting the factory set blade out, it would not budge. With a bit WD40 loosened it enough to lift the round prong and get the blade out. Be careful, it’s sharp.

Amazon...Homarden 3 Blade Stainless Steel Vegetable Spiral Slicer
I'm really disappointed! I just received mine and tested it out on cucumbers, carrots, and butternut squash. The "auto-forward movement" just isn't happening so well with the carrots and butternut squash. It works for a bit then just keeps spinning with no forward action or cutting. Did I get a bad machine? Any tips or advice welcome before I send it back.
I cut the tip of the veggie flat that is attached ... so it does not spin... hope this helps
