The way that car sounds is spectacular! Such a snorting bark! -- That era of BMW is my favorite, going back to high school when the E92 M3 first came out and it had the 8400 RPM rev limit!
My god the sound of that V8 was beyond the size of this chassis. Saw this car (BMW RLL version) win GTLM class at Limerock in ALMS, it suited that track well but struggled at high speed tracks it seemed
I realize they are different cars, but how much advancement has there been between and early era GT3 like the Z4 and like the 2022 AMG GT3. From the outside is seems like Gt3 cars have come a long way in terms of drivability.
They’ve come a long way in usability-meaning a lot of the extra functions are nicer or easier to use. The early cars are more raw, but the performance is pretty much there. Of course, it’s all BOP’d to be pretty much the same. The new cars just have more functionality to make life easier for the drivers or engineers.
One of the greatest GT3 cars to ever be driven on track. Thanks as always Mike

what a sound
I miss those cars.
Beautiful video and a respectful approach to the amateur drivers and weaker cars on track.
What an engine! Love this car.
Damn the grip you have through the uphill s is amazing. Shame there was so much traffic

Thanks for making this!
Gotta love those p65 engines at full song 😍
Awesome perspective shots Mike. Curious if you were scrubbing for clean / heat in tires or feeling for something else on the out lap down backstretch.
Just cleaning and getting heat.
Is this car still raced anywhere? It’s my favorite GT3 car of all time. Would be fun to see it in a run again
They run it sporadically in BMW CCA Club Racing and vintage events like SVRA/HSR.
@@MikeSkeenRacing thank you. I’’ going to watch like a hawk if they ever run and maybe pester them a little about maybe getting a couple laps.
❤❤❤

wow what a car . and the engine sound is incredible .
This is so cool
Killer! Are you too tall for the car or does the helmet cam add a few inches?
Helmet cam is a few inches above line of sight. It’s a smallish cockpit, but not uncomfortable.
@@MikeSkeenRacing you seem to be driving fine. Like always, sort of near sleep but smoother than silk. Great content. Thank you.
Oh my God.
PB?
In this car? I think I did 47 with some traffic. Definitely a 45/46 in it
