i have a partridge, a blue, and apaint hen, and a white roo. i dont know whats gonna happen but im excited to find out. though now that i see your chocolates, i want one.
I never saw a chicken like this until a couple days ago. I live in the city of Tampa and there are free range chickens around here. They actually seem to stay in their designated area. I don’t hear any getting hit by a car. They are next door to our apartment I think. I had seen other brown chickens visit before but the other day I was flabbergasted! I thought they were Scots Dumpys at first but then I took a closer look and looked them up and found out they were a chicken I’d never heard of… Silkies! I’m no expert on chickens but these were what you called the chocolate ones. I think you said chocolate. I thought they looked like they had fur. Different but beautiful! This is a great introduction to these chickens! Thank you for the education! 😊
Is there any special training you've done with your dogs as pups or adults to deter any prey drive behavior with your flock? I have my heart set on a few breeds/mix breeds that are typically working breeds but I've also looked into having a second dog just for flock protection, possibly great Pyrenees. Just curious before making a commitment for a family pet.
I’ve actually been considering making a video on this and I will! It really is just all about training and getting them comfortable with the chickens. It takes some work but it’s worth it.
Such sweet sweet birds!! Little fluff balls! ♥️♥️♥️
Silkies are my favorite!!
I friggin love chickens. I live with them and I sleep with them. I train them like they are dogs. 😍
AMAZING VIDEO
Thanks!
Silkies are the sweetest! Keep the content coming!
They are beautiful. I love chickens. I had pet chickens when I was a kid. I’d have them now if they were allowed where I live, but they aren’t.
Our silkies coo when we come near unlike our easter eggers. Our white one looks like your juvenile shown here.
Awesome like how your dog is friendly with silkie
Love your buff babies!

Cool to see the parents of my buffs from you😊. Did you start your mottled flock from Brenda? Looks like her stock
Many are from her, yes!!! Gorgeous birds!
