Man, this is one of the best review videos I've seen yet. Thanks!
Appreciate that! More to come!
Making me rethink looking at the sea hunts 👀👀
I love my 2021 Masters 247
Defiantly! I looked at bay boats several times for 8 months prior to purchasing, looked at Ranger bay 2510, Avenger 24 & 26, Sea Hunt, Sea Pro 24 and Sportsman 247. I was seeing some on lots at the coast but never been in the water, with rusting and/or corroding hardware. Close attention to fit, finish and accessibility for maintenance. I kept going back to Sportsman 247 for the quality. The access in bilge is probably one of the best on the market in a bay boat. Every hatch hinge, latch and rods holders are Gemlux (best on the market). I purchased a 2019 Sportsman 247 Platinum with Yamaha 300, what a nice boat! Got caught in bad weather a few times and it handled rough conditions like a champ, very safe and dry. Also quiet, no hull slap in rough water. Then a tornado came over our house and laid 2 large trees down on it, one behind the T-top and one in front of T-top, landed so hard it twisted the trailer. The insurance company totaled it out but the adjuster said he couldn't believe how well built that boat was, said others he had with trees on them completely cut through the gunwales, mine didn't. Due to the covid, demand and empty lots I had to wait and do a lot of searching but I found a new 2022 Sportsman in Jan. I priced having one built but very few dealers had allocations for a 247 for this year, the ones that did said they would not go into production until last month (July), with a couple price increases on top of quoted price. Unless a amazing bay boat comes along, don't think I will have anything other than a Sportsman!
By the way, Sportsman customer service! The helm pad started to peel up on the corner on first Sportsman after 16 months of ownership. I emailed Sportsman with a photo asking where I could buy another helm pad. He told me to send hull ID# and verify my address, there was a new helm pad on my porch the next day, overnight shipping. Prior to purchasing my current Sportsman, I emailed them questions about a couple accessories and the Garmin electronics, their marketing guy answered my email within minutes.
Beautiful boat. Extremely well designed. But for $100k I would be looking for a 26 foot open design that can go offshore.
Picking mine up in Cape Coral on Thursday!
Congratulations DrifterBlog!
Definitely better than 2 MPG at cruise. I took mine 17 miles offshore yesterday and at 32 MPH I was getting 2.6 MPG with the tabs down a bit.
Could be the perfect fishing boat for in and coastal shore if a tackel station was an option! The cc’s Sportsman boats have them as an option. Many types would fit under the leaning post. I think Sportsman is short sighted and selling the boat utility short. It can be done easily. How about trying to give Boat Outfitters some dimensions and guidelines and they could make it happen. I guess that is what I will have to do after my 247 is built! Unless I cancel it.
Yep, always a give and take when it comes to design and functionality Johnny. Thanks for stopping by!
The tackle station is an option under the captains chairs. Mine, which I’m picking up on Thursday has it.
@@DrifterBlog There is a little 2 door one but it won’t hold what I use. They wont install a full size one. Just a slide out cooler which I don’t need.
Wish I could find one that looks like that
What is the free-board on this boat?
You know if he wasn't trying to fight to sell the boat I think he could actually sell it pretty good
I wish the lead time wasn't so long to get one ..
Yeah, crazy supply and demand these days Brian for sure.
If only boats weren’t so freakin expensive nowadays
Livewells are cool, but not cool in brown south lousiana water, lol
Love the boat but these are over 100k new
Nah. I’ll stick with my 21 pathfinder 24TRS. Way better boat and reselling value is unbeatable.
Good for you
BBBB... ull shit! money pit
100,000? That’s real affordable..
The market is absolutely crazy now. Boat prices practically doubled in the last 4 years or so
Yeah, looking at this in 2024 I'm thinking no wayy you are getting this boat for 90-100k. More like 120-130k now fully loaded@@bennettblackmon2858
