I agree I love kimber 1911 compact pistols as well I have a kimber eclipse ultra carry 2 with the 3 1/2 inch barrel it's my edc I would recommended everyone should own a kimber.
I too have same CC2 in 9mil with CT laser for 5 years now! I have many cool pistols - all with lasers and a couple suppressed - and this is my fav with the SW Bodyguard as my backup weapon.
Well... thats only your opinion and you are entitled to it. On the other hand, my Kimber has servered me well. Never had a hick-up in the years that I owned it. Thanks for watching!
same thing I really wanted to like the limber solo, i purchased a two tone and had feeding problems and extracting. Kimber "fixed it" and the problems remained. I sold it for a big loss. I waited till the solo dc came out and tried it again. Shooting underwood +p+ 147 grain… on the 5th shot the right safety blew out of the gun… Wow What a pcs of crap. my Sig 938 eats +p+ all day. I do have a limber master carry custom that I love and have never had a problem with but it's a little large to carry. I want to try the ultra carry II but I do not want to lose more money.
FrustratedBaboon Mine is carried a lot and shot very little so it's not that big a deal for me. Even so, the soft aluminum feed ramp was being noticeably gouged by what I think was the sharp magazine follower in the factory mags. I've since switched to Wilson mags with the solid black follower and haven't noticed it getting any worse. Have to say though, this little Kimber is the most accurate handgun I have ever fired, and that includes full size guns.
Super weapon, easy carry and high confidence should it be employed. Best combat caliber by far. Having said that, a single action handgun is NOT for everyone, and serious objective thought should take place before doing so. I like to say one should be a well trained "gun person" and not just a concealed carry individual. JMHO
Thanks for making this video. I think I'd prefer to carry with a live chamber. @3" that's an AWSOME sidearm. My only concern would be round count, (you covered that). It would definitly be easier to carry than my XD 45 though.
I know what you mean buddy! Although the black looks pretty bad ass, but if your going to carry it, it will eventually eat away at the finish. Seems like the stainless holds up pretty well on the one that I have. Hey, but xmas is coming and ya never know what that will bring. Stay safe, Stay armed, and god bless my friend!
Yo I just love Kimber guns but a little bit too expensive but if I had it I would own every model they make the sweetest looking guns on the market. I probably would carry my ultimate carry gun would be the FN 7 THAT GUN IS AWESOME BUT AMMO TOO EXPENSIVE not shooting like want to. Its definitely not a range gun because hard to find AMMO I search and search for it. Hold on back to Kimbers; their still the best looking guns out there and probably worth the money so I'll save my pennies and will get one before I'm a senior citizen. .lol..Kimber keep making those sweet ass guns....
I just got one like yours but in 9mm. From the box it failed to chamber properly and every 3 or 4 shots it would not extract the empty cartridge. I sent it back to Kimber and they "fixed" it under warranty. It now fails every 4 to 5 shots. It looks beautiful in my safe but I would not use it as my concealed weapon of choice and have my life depend on it. Much rather keep my little Colt Mustang 380 with Lehigh deep penetration ammo in my pocket. The Mustang has never failed me. I've heard that the 9mm suffers from this problem.
+Luis Tunon, Jr. Sorry for your troubles Luis.. I had no problems with mine. I would suggest different mags (wilson combat) to see if that takes care of your issue. They are a little more expensive but well worth the money. The other thing you should try is 124gr or 147gr bullets to break it in a little more.. All Kimbers have a break in period. I think its in the manual that came with your gun... Good Luck!
Yep.. very nice carry pistol. No.. I haven't had any issues with hollow points at all. Did you check out the vid I did on the CT Master series install on my Ultra Carry?
With all due respect, that holster seems like it would be terribly uncomfortable for a 1911. Seems that the beaver-tail would dig in to my side where I typically carry (~4-5 o'clock).
I also carry 4-5 o'clock and I cant say that I find it unconfortable in any way but thats just me. People are different. I have been carrying that 1911 for a long time and dont have anything bad to say about it. Again... thats just me.
With the 40S&W higher velocity and energy, why do we love the 45 acp? I have a 1911, a baby eagle, a 4566 and a DAO p250 compact... But only one 40 S&W.By the way, I am in upstate NY where there is a 10 round capacity limit.
MrKZizzle Yes but the 40S&W has higher velocity and more energy than the 45 acp. I just got a box of Winchester PDX1 45ACP that has the velocity at 920fps and 432 fps of energy, which approaches the 40S&W. Now the 4566 TSW it my favorite handgun. At 38oz loaded is below the weight of my 1911 and my Baby Eagle. AND the frame is SS instead of aluminum. There are some light 45 acp rounds that have high velocity and energy, but who can afford to shoot $2 bullets.
You can do much worse then a Kimber anything just my opinion for the money they offer a lot but there are other 1911 for the budget minded sig ruger taurus certainly the later two not on par with kimber but much more economical if your on a budget.I personally don't like polymer handguns I was brought up with the help of my Grandfather a World War 2 vet that's where my love of the 1911 comes from I can still see the sparkle in his eye when he spoke of it with great reverance.
John, I also disagree with you. I use a Covet II and it has never had a FTF/F. With Hornady ammo (Critical Defense and Critical Duty), it is a winning combination.
Thanks Chuck!! I was looking into the new S&W XDs but Im thinking that I have the best of the smaller 45's right here. I have several hundred rounds through it without a hiccup. Although I like what the new M&P has to offer. Remember .. cant have too many gun or be too rich!! ;-)
I know this may sound sacrilegious but I'm not a fan of the Model of 1911. The design is the epitome of most modern pistols, I know, but at least with my funds and the way I use my tools. I'm, by no means, "poor", but if I spend close to $1000 on anything then it better serve me well. That's 1/4 of my monthly income! IMO they're just too pretty for me, weigh too much, and I hate the breakdown but that is one beautiful pistol! Which is also why I'm looking at buying this one. I think the Kimber ultra carry ll is the best looking one. You said, "If you have to use that many rounds then you probably shouldn't be where you are." Honestly I don't think anybody can control that most of the time. If that were the case, then, in theory, we shouldn't even need one round. Even though I'm against it, they're starting to rub off on me which is what brought me to your awesome video. I'm probably buying this one as my first "1911". Thanks for the vid!
I just watched the video and you said the frame is steel. i was under the impression that the frame was aluminum and the slide was steel. Is this a special model?
damn 890? their website says its 960 dollars for this gun,my dad just won this gun in a raffle but its black, beautiful gun it is,my dad dont even shoot though,he shot 10 rounds outta it already and it will sit under his bed till he die like his rifle and shotgun,
May things I could say but I will not.. if any of you really want to risk your life on an 1911 go right ahead..I did for years.. thank God I never had to call on it. I still love my 1911s, but they remain in the vault.
I think you are in the minority... I have carried that 1911 for years and had no issues. I have 2K rounds through it and it never once gave me any problems. I would trust my life with it,
MrKZizzle Please don't get me wrong. I own two 1911s now and one is the Tactical Ultra II. I am almost 55 and carried 1911s for almost 30 years. I have owned a couple dozen. Government Models, Commander Models, Lightweight Commanders. Officers ACPs, Gold Cups, Kimber, SIG 1911, Springfield 1911. and on and on. In that one in a million chance I need to use it, I do not want it to also con inside with that "minority" incident when my 1911 does not work. WeE never had the choices we do now in the 1970s. so we basically made excuses and put up with those events in which it failed to feed, or eject, or stove piped... we just cleared the jam and kept on going. I did not have a problem with every single one of them. But I owned enough of them to witness it first hand.
I have one of these myself. My favorite carry weapon as well. I added Hogue wrap around grips on mine. Definitely worth the money.
Well... thats only your opinion and you are entitled to it. On the other hand, my Kimber has servered me well. Never had a hick-up in the years that I owned it. Thanks for watching!
Very nice! I enjoy both of your guys vids!
same thing I really wanted to like the limber solo, i purchased a two tone and had feeding problems and extracting. Kimber "fixed it" and the problems remained. I sold it for a big loss. I want to try the ultra carry II but I do not want to lose more money.
I looked at the Kimber solo but it was a little to snappy for me. Yes.. The ultra carry has kick to but its more manageable.
Nice video, and it's nice of you to include that people give less popular channels shout-outs. That's really looking out for the little guy.
Nice holster and love the kimber
I believe the frame is aluminum.
+Sporkmaker5150 Yup big minus for me.
FrustratedBaboon

Sweet looking Kimber. Love meprolight sights. Weight is consistant with a good conceal carry. Love it, well made. Very nice and I'm sure comfortable.
I'm picking mine up tomorrow.. NICS was jammed up- i'm told. I love that leather! thanks for the upload

Sweet!! I want the surefire!
Thank you ,excellent
NP.. You wont be sorry.. GREAT gun!! I have been carry it for the past 2 years and it hides very well.
God yes this is the handgun of my dreams
4 dislikes? Damn they don't know guns! Another Beauty!!
The frame is aluminum the slide is stainless
Sorry hit send before I finished lol and I'm looking at this gun for carry. Your video did help me just still have a hard choice.
Thanks for making this video. I think I'd prefer to carry with a live chamber. @3" that's an AWSOME sidearm. My only concern would be round count, (you covered that). It would definitly be easier to carry than my XD 45 though.
Yes... I would certainly agree with you.
if you need more than 8 rounds...u need lots of practice
I know what you mean buddy! Although the black looks pretty bad ass, but if your going to carry it, it will eventually eat away at the finish. Seems like the stainless holds up pretty well on the one that I have. Hey, but xmas is coming and ya never know what that will bring. Stay safe, Stay armed, and god bless my friend!
Thanks bro.. I try to give shout outs from time to time.
love this gun, but will change sights to Novack low profile ramps and oh yes on the Crimson Trace, and use a Milt Sparks Summer Special II.
This gun is awesome.. I will never get rid of it.. period!
I'm traditionally a Glock guy but I love this weapon! On my wish list for my next firearm.
Its really sweet. One of my top CCW in my safe. Thanks for watching!
Yo I just love Kimber guns but a little bit too expensive but if I had it I would own every model they make the sweetest looking guns on the market. Yeah... I bought my Kimbers becuase at the time it was in my budget. Now that I picked up a 2014 Pony my priorities have shifted a bit.... lol

I realize this was an older video.. Love that piece I personally carry the Kimber ultra tle ii in .45 and use the stealth gear iwb holster
Yep.. very nice carry pistol. No.. I haven't had any issues with hollow points at all. Did you check out the vid I did on the CT Master series install on my Ultra Carry?
Great video and nice looking pistol

Awesome. It's a great looking pistol! Carry on my fellow American!
does the kimber ultra carry have the same standardized frame as other "officer" sized 1911's? or is it a proprietary size?
Thanks. I appreciate you watching!
With the 40S&W higher velocity and energy, why do we love the 45 acp? I have a 1911, a baby eagle, a 4566 and a DAO p250 compact... But only one 40 S&W.By the way, I am in upstate NY where there is a 10 round capacity limit.
+tom bats My thought is that if I can only carry 7 - 10 rounds its going to be a 45..
MrKZizzle Yes but the 40S&W has higher velocity and more energy than the 45 acp. +tom bats whats your point it takes 59 foot lbs of force to be lethal..lol
The 25 acp has 63ftp of energy. Would you depend on that for self defense? Maybe yes at 3 feet, but... :-)
Thanks Bro! Its currently my EDC.
Great vid. Just picked one of these up. Grat gun

great video, in the market for a carry pistol and this one might be it. thanks for the info
Great video

If you use a lapel microphone on you...even a cheap one, it would really help your videos out. Good video tho.
+elireloaded Thanks bro
How does subscribers help?
Yeah.. My Kimber is my favorite carry weapon. She's a beauty! I cant wait till ammo starts appearing on shelves again so I can do some shooting vids.
Kimber are very nice guns.. Besides my Sigs of course.. lol
Nice
Yeah.. Probably some trolls.. Yes, she is a beauty and I added rosewood crimson trace laser grips to it. ;)
I think the weight on a steel kimber is 31oz... thanks good video
Thanks bud! Its my current EDC in a IWB Milt Sparks. Very comfortable ...
W.O.W.
I'm surpose buy one tomorrow for 850 .what u think good deal are what cheers
+sa kitt If its new.. Yes.
i thought kimber are expensive? how come there are some compact 1911 that are more expencive?
+Hajime Saito They are expensive but worth every penny... :)
I'm torn because I have a glock 22 gen 4 and a colt government 1911 45.
Glad Matt sent me.
Is that holster OWB?
No... IWB
Thanks again brother..
Thanks bro... I think so too!!.
Are you a police officer?
No.. I am not a police officer ....
Thin for a 1911 = Thick for a modern gun.
I just watched the video and you said the frame is steel. i was under the impression that the frame was aluminum and the slide was steel. Is this a special model?
+Dave McCance (davemcc606) Yes.. It is steel. I had a special order Kimber from their custom shop about 5 years ago.
BTW.. Thanks for the sub Bill. I appreciate it!
damn 890? their website says its 960 dollars for this gun,my dad just won this gun in a raffle but its black, beautiful gun it is,my dad dont even shoot though,he shot 10 rounds outta it already and it will sit under his bed till he die like his rifle and shotgun,
LMAO!! After that vid I added a crimson trace laser grip (rosewood) to that pistil. Its sweet! check it out if you get a chance.
kay possa? wtf does that mean?
That Kiimber is sweet. Its my current EDC. Check out my newest vid with crimson trace laser grips installed. Makes it look even better.
Apparently RAMBO doesnt own a 1911... What a troll ..
*drooling on keyboard.....

Frame is aluminum
Worst defense pistol on earth. Unreliable manual safety is going to get you killed in a real life high stress situation.
Ur old eyes arent gonna be able to see that little red dot any better. Ur just jumping on a bandwagon
