Perodua is my 1st car brand after few years of working. I had the 1st myvi back then. super love it those days. Fun to drive and cheap to maintain. I still own it for 20 years already. still going strong! Even though its an affordable car, its still the best choice for Malaysia. Perodua gives me an impression - A Malaysia car for all Malaysians. Kudos Perodua for continuing the affordability concept. im seriously thinking to get this Axia to replace my old myvi as secondary car.
Better in charging PRICIER price tag. In term of safety spec only AV variant got 6 airbag, ASA 3.0 & touchscreen with reverse camera. G, X and SE variant still with 2 airbag and without even basic ASA. So called better in term of what i dunno, maybe charging for DNGA & D-CVT name. At least provide basic safety min 4 airbag or even better 6 airbag for all. ASA at least 2.0 version. No need fancier lane keeping and correction. Only basic for emergency braking.

Biggest disappointment for majority axia potential buyer: price. Second let down is size. Why size you might ask. Cuz when ppl buy A segment cars, they want it to be small. Easy to manoeuvre around with short front and rear end. Just to fulfill basic daily needs or from a to b. If I need a larger car I would just go for B segment cars. Hence axia lost it’s sole purpose.
Can't agree with you anymore. Why need another Myvi liked size car but with smaller engine. IMHO the outgoing gen axia has the right size for daily city use which most of the time to easily maneuver around town and to fit in those tight parking spots
give us rim kompang, material colored, non automatic side mirror, no rear wiper, manual ac controls, no tachometer and slash the price by 5k.. i don't care if they gonna put AXIA LOW SPEC badge on the back.
Axia baru ni , sesuai sangat buat Grab. Minyak , kereta ni paling jimat di antara model Perodua ( atas kertas). Walaupun Bonet tidak sebesar Bezza , Tapi ruang bonetnya cukup untuk bawak barangan client. Saiz bonet lebih kurang besar Myvi. Handling pulak , youtuber yang dah test drive kata sedap. Pada aku , Axia Low Spec paling berbaloi untuk Grab.
iriz still look like katak ngl. The handling and interior of iriz active sure look good. But iriz is an old car. already 8 years(i guess). Proton should make a replacement for it with better fuel efficiency in mind. And make it modern look as what mazda, honda, toyota and perodua for the back. Iriz front already nice, but the back look horrendous.
Seen the car, a top spec and the low spec, no sales persons at Roda Khayangan Kinrara even bothered to approach me. The top spec had some extras like ambient lighting and litup kick plate. But, I think those are extras and u need to pay. Hafiz is spot on about to his review. What remains is to test drive once and a friendly sales person 🤔

As the myvi using dcvt, the engine noise quite high compare to the old 4at. probably the chasis of the myvi fl not suitable for the change of gearbox. I am looking to get the myvi H or Axia Av. The stuff u do get for axia av just soo much more. the downside is that lame ass rims and underpower engine.
Believe many will compare Axia and Myvi drive-bility as both are on different chassis setup. Design wise Daihatsu version of this car has a better front lamps as usual.
My Axia X is over a year old. Was quite surprised that the price was similar to my Kancil EX from a couple of decades ago, which was 660 cc. Not too impressed with this makeover though. The back looks terrible and the front looks like it's been hit by a bus. Lines shouldn't be too blurred between different models and changes shouldn't be so drastic if you're retaining the name.
In Indonesia we have Agya GR Sport version from Toyota, not sure it will be equipped with 1.0T engine or 1200 NA like on ativa. But Toyota said GR Sport version will have upgraded suspension and steering.
Almost perfect car, except for one thing. No rear demister. Seriously silly, at where I live, my car windows tend to fog up fast, in and out. Wiper alone wont cut it. Huge disappointment not to have a demister, especially since the base kosong spec Kancils used to have them. I highly doubt they'd be any much more expensive to add them on. Very very silly. Overall it's still a great car.
For the rims itself, it's a pity that they don't have a different design for the top trims but then again, most buyers would change their rims. My pet peeves with the new Axia is the lack of the tachometer. For a cvt it's fine to not have it, but for a manual, visual representation does make a difference. Halogen reflector headlights. I know it's cheaper to make but the previous projector halogen unit are better, imo. I hope that the future Axia facelift that 6 airbags are made standard across the range. Active safety are great to prevent accidents, but don't miss out on passive safety too.
Do you know what DNGA stands for? If not- Its Daihatsu New Global Architecture Perodua, Subaru and Toyota are actively working together on the platform. Its not a proton level rebadge where they just change the front grill of a Geely car and call it a day xD

Axia menang pd minyak, bezza jga sma -naik mcm dlm sampan. Saga dh pakai 4 bln -handling dn comfort top, minyak dlm bandar lingkup poket, highway ok.. Proton jka tk buat enjn bru utk saga bleh ttup kdai segmen ini.

For that price, I would rather Perodua have given us at least 1.2L engine...
That interior is really the best looking Perodua, and you could put Mazda badge on the steering wheel and won't feel out of place .
Sounds like P/Wira or P/Inspira or Waja with MITSUBISHI badge@emblem.

Not a proton fan but the proton iriz looks way more better and handsome plus iriz handling is top notch

I think the Myvi 1.3 PSDA is a better option when compared to the lower specs varients.
