Great video I sold my X68000 XVI 6 years ago when I was out of work and needed the cash wish I could pickup another again now as ive got a an MT32 and would love to hear these midi music soundtracks.
This X68K is very good stuff... best version for sure compared to the other ones in the time. This machine has great stuff... played final fight, the best version only supered by the Sega CD port. It has also great shooter ....
I was reminded not long ago that the X68000 can use both the MT-32 and the SC-55 synths from Roland. My question is, can I hear MT-32 music through emulation? I imagine that is possible with MUNT and either XM6 Pro-68k or XM6 Type G, but I can't imagine how to set up to whole thing. Any tips?
@@superdeadite Yes! Right after I posted I've started fiddling with the MIDI settings in XM6 Type G. First I've tried using VirtualMIDISynth and a MT-32 soundfont, but I couldn't get any music. But MUNT did the trick inmediately, and everything I've tested so far plays music. Thanks for the answer just the same.
I've only recently discovered your channel, really interesting videos and a great collection man. Are there gonna be any new videos soon on your game collection or interesting peripherals?
Interesting take on these classic tunes, thanks for the incredibly rare content!
When you're not in the mood for the arcade sound chips, this does come in handy!

I am 100% sure you can find one on Ebay. I wish you luck.

XM6 outputs MIDI data to the Windows default MIDI port. So it should be very simple really.

Needs more cowbell :)
gfx is FAST man!
How do you engage midi here? (And thunder blade too since thunder blade doesn’t have a way to engage it)
How did you do this? I can’t find out :(
It has MIDI???
This is somewhat of a fan patch, I'm think. Nowhere else seen it.
Can I have the midis please?
yeah
Sounds alot like my Roland Pro E. Neat

There are lots of vids I want to do, but the issue is time. Family and work have just taken over. More vids will come, but there is no schedule.
subpar MIDI soundtrack. Half of the music is missing.
I appreciate it for what it is. But I would certainly prefer this ua-cam.com/video/fEAoMm8DAgU/v-deo.html :)
