- Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy says Donald Trump is the president who will “actually unite” the country.
“Not through empty words but through action,” Mr Ramaswamy said during an RNC address.
“Success is unifying, excellence is unifying; that’s who we are as Americans, that’s who we have always been.”
This comes as day two of the Republican National Convention is underway where immigration and border control are high on the agenda.

I think we are seeing right here why trump didn't pick him as vice president he wants him for another even more critical position in many ways. Either he'll be on the cabinet or he'll do something else because this man is an inspirational leader and you don't need a vice president that does the whole inspiration thing as much you need a vice president that supports the ticket and some other things. But the vec can truly change hearts and minds and that's the kind of guy you want on the cabinet someone out there is a true and strong advocate it doesn't stay behind the scenes as many vice presidents do. I really wanted Vivek as the vice president but I can understand why he wasn't chosen I think they are nailing this convention their pics and their message nearly perfectly. This is truly one of the greatest conventions I have ever seen and I have seen nearly every convention since I was in high school.
