I’m deeply impressed with your talent, choices of colors, & tools. You give the figures a manifesting life. Well done. For a growing percentage of people who’ve become “TLDR too long did not read”. It’s a pleasure to watch your videos from start to finish thank you for sharing.
This WSS Alpine Miniatures NCO video and your French 1940 videos are my favorites.
Absolutely 💯 brilliant. Well done you 😊
Fabulous painting. The Autumn Oak Leaf camo is the best I have seen.
This guy is something else.really like his way with figures.
Thanks👍
Least I’ve got the wet pallet down correctly, ha..

This is simply just artwork, marvellous talent. This guy makes it look easy.
Incredible work, watching it come to life in your hands, amazing talent. And the music was beautiful, just a therapeutic joy to watch 👍
⭐️ I don’t make military miniatures but watched this from start to finish and found it completely fascinating ⭐️ very well filmed and an excellent presentation 👍
Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it 👍

Excellent painting skill Ian.. figure actually comes” alive “ then you add the camo.. UFR..
I usually return to many of your painting/dioramas for tutorial just to make sure ..
Fantastic
Magnífico trabajo como siempre, me encanta seguirte desde aquí ...Andalucía España
wow, I hope can make it that far, mainly as far as the faces concerned.
Looks pretty epic to me !! Excellent work. That German autumn "pea dot" camouflage is tricky
Thanks for sharing incredible work
Fantastic job! Well done.
impressive
I've never seen trousers woth that color sceme. Amazing job!
I'm a little over13 minutes into the video and I had to comment about your use of a brush to blend the various tones. Not that I've watched a huge amount of videos about painting figures, but yours is the first I've seen doing this - I like the results I see so far.
Thanks, its just something I've always done, no idea about anyone else👍
Your way is good
Could watch you paint for hours
Awesome painting skills . The result is superb . Bravo !
excelente trabajo de pintura de esta figura de 'My way' - Alpine Miniatures 1/35 LAH NCO en las Ardenas, respetos y saludos desde Venezuela.💯🤜🔥🤛👍🙏🙏💯💯
Nice camouflage, great job !
Abso-bloody-lutely fascinating.. the wife and i are sitting here slowly shaking our heads from side to side ... Slowly but surely the figure is given" life" and "purpose".. As the puppet masters of old breathed movement into brightly painted wooden characters .. And that was a minute 22.... Then.... camo .. WOW.... what else can anyone say.!! . Thank you as always Ian, for sharing this inspirational skill ATVB Scott Somerset
Epic timing boss, i just started the same figure a few days before the video posted.
A beautiful job CWM! I was enthralled watching you work your magic.
I have difficulty wth figures, so I watch a lot of video tutorials, and I have learnt a lot. However, your painting skills, and the final results, are outstanding, and prompt me to try a little harder.
Hoping to see the diorama you mention very soon.
Stay safe and cheers from Australia!
excellent video my friend well explained and easy to follow top job thanks for sharing
Simply excellent result, Ian. Good to see such work and a little bit of it can also be used for the small scale.
Best wishes, Joachim

Great work , I enjoyed it a lot
Thanks a lot👍
No matter what I do, mine never look anything like yours, making me jealous as always 👍
I'm sure you will get to his level if you keep trying! This skill does not come over night, and good luck with it!
Keep practicing and it will come.......I've been practicing for 6 years and I'm still not happy, lol
I’d like to know how wet the paints are. Fantastic work.
@@johnrowbotham5054 Base coats are mostly straight from the bottle or very lightly thinned to improve flow, highlights are more heavily thinned and successive coats build up the colour slowly 👍
Amazing work as usual....ever thought about teaching your skills with classes on how to do this over Skype etc? I'd pay for you to teach me :-)
Thanks......I'm not really the teacher type, haha
KLASS... !!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
super
Super😍😍😍
Nice job.
Absolutely mind blowing work mate! Filming the process is super hard, just as painting the figure. Very good and useful video Ian :)
Thanks Michael........there was lots of shaking camera to edit out after constantly hitting it with my optivisors because it was so close to my face, lol
@@CWModelling stunning work thank you for making these videos.
What model and magnification do you recommend when purchasing a Optivisor?
@@innvotronics8104 Hi, mine are made by Fancii and come with various strength lenses...... www.amazon.co.uk/Fancii-Illuminated-Hands-Magnifier-Visor/dp/B01AL2YAQ6/ref=asc_df_B01AL2YAQ6/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309918324659&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17701366928356325677&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045622&hvtargid=pla-496559777272&psc=1
Loved it..best miniature camo job i have seen yet. Can i ask what make if brushes you use ? Cheers mate
The brushes are mentioned in the description below the video 👍
Excellent work I must say. I haven't indulged myself, in this pastime for some years now, however I was surprised to note that you didn't use an overall undercoat on the figure beforehand. I guess times have changed since I was involved :)
Thanks......yes, the figured was primed but I forgot to mention it in the video👍
@@CWModelling Ok thanks, I did wonder lol. I just discovered your channel & very much like what I see :)
Thanks for watching👍
It’s almost like, “ well the 1/35 scale figure was accurate. But we found an actual German soldier, took a sample of his DNA, and grew a 1/35 scale version”
😂
Beautiful work as usual Ian you made me burn my sausages 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 take care my friend 👍👏 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏✌️🐑🤣🍺
Sorry, lol
I still had them in buttie🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Stunning work any ones on 44 pea dot or summer leaf camo?

It's very nice way. Also, it's very fantastic and enjoyable 34:33. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it👍
You should do a tutorial on painting guys without hats, so focusing on their hair. Nice work!
Amazing work! Had the figure already been primed?
Yup, I use an aerosol primer so had to do it outside👍
Amazing skills, you have inspired me! Do you paint the eyes at all, or a black dot where the eye should be?
Mostly I don't paint the eyes but sometimes I do add a black dot👍
Hey Ian, great painting/technique. What's the music?
Thanks......Its Royalty free from Artlist.io👍
I’m simply just blown away at the quality of each step. I do have a question as I am new. When you added highlights to the figure, I noticed you used another brush to sweep away the highlighted paint. Is this to blend the highlight in or remove the brightness of the highlight itself?
Thanks....I find a quick swipe with a soft brush removes excess paint and also feathers the edge of it to aid blending👍
@@CWModelling I just wanted to ask the same question and I got my answer. Congratulations again for your work and explanation. It’s great
Stunning figure painting. May I ask :
Did you let each layer on the face dry before applying subsequent layers?
How did you paint the eyes?
What brushes did you use?
Did you thin the paints prior to application?
Thanks👍
Yes
I just put a dot of black in the eye
Check the description below the video
Yes
Thanks for the replies, inspiring work indeed!
Hi , did you prime the figure before painting?
,camo looks great 👍
I use a rattle can primer so always do it outside 👍
Hi buddy what make of paint brushes are you using and what size as can't find the details on your video mate cheers Gary.
The brushes are mentioned in the description below the video 👍
Great figure. What is the brand of brushes?
