- Upgraded my ultralight reel to a Shimano Sienna 500 and took it to a local pond to try out. Had a great day fishing and found a ton of large gills. Nice video! I'm trying to decide on a full time reel for one of the Magic L rods everyones been raving about. It's really nice if you haven't checked them out yet. I tried the lews lazer lite 75 size and both reels from amazon were bad. One knocked as I turned the handle, the other would stop like something was bent. So now I'm trying to find something else. I'm thinking the 1000 size might be a better option. I have a 6 ft UL
It's a great reel, however I replaced it with a Shimano Nexave (amzn.to/3wHYVX7) that was a little bigger to account for slip bobber stops, the Sienna was too small for them. Otherwise it was a great small form factor reel. I'd easily recommend either.

Is it a new reel? Does the red drum with the holes in it spin when you reel?
What type and length was the fishing rod with that ultra light reel?
It's a 5'6" Light CrappieMaxx rod. My favorite for pan fish, still my primary setup.
@@mvboutdoors do you like the shimano sienna 500? I got one today paired up with a ugly stik, great color scheme for the combo! I like the reel alot and I've caught some hybrids with a panther Martin. I'm gonna put a slip bobber setup on it! Nice video!!
