I completed my wind powered beast yesterday. It started walking on the first run. I did not watch your video during the assembly. It took me 2 weeks to finish. The installation instructions were not clear. I had to figure out many things by myself. The most difficult part was to attach legs to the frame G (the A shaped part). Once the first 2 legs were attached correctly, the rest was much easier. This is definitely a wonderful toy for adults, especially for people with engineering and scientific background.
Me again. Kit completed now, very happy. Would you like to video yourself putting together the Haynes D.I.Y Retro FM Radio construction kit. ? I have a half complete one sitting in my room for the past two years. Just can't figure out where everything goes to make it play. Figured with your clear close up detail shots and natural teaching ability you could help me (and others) complete it.
Without your video I would not have been able to complete the model. However, in both your set upland mine, there are parts which were included but not used: the long white shaft (P12), the short clear tube (P7), and the odd looking piece which differed from the remaining 7 parts in H (only 6 of which were used). Anybody know what these were for?
Glad that it helped. Did you mean this photos.app.goo.gl/nP7Rk7p7iBC7KqjJA It's used for testing without wind. But it doesn't really work :-) Please subscribe if you haven't already done that, thanks.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO. MY SON AND I BARELY STARTED WITH THE FIRST LEG... and I was ready to throw it out the window....BUT, I REMEMBERED MY SON.........well, I think the instructions manual SUCK!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR VIDEO.
I can't remember. But I did mention in my video (I think). Of course it was including filming. At the end of the day, I had more fun in building it than playing it :-)

I bought the beast set unfortunately it was not complete. Many parts missing. Not able to construct it up. Frustrating.
