Have a smashing weekend.....(Eric Burdon did Black Dog at a gig here with Yiannis Haroulis)...❤️✌️👍Xx
Happy Fathers Day 💐
IS a fan....
Wow S.T.Vee you pull out the best footage of the coolest bands. Good old Tortelvis and his crew, Carl Jah shreds with the best of them, and who doesn't love Butt Man on bass. Dread Zeppelin, I love this band.
Timeless music …who else is still listening in 2024?❤
Here from Wichita Kansas in 2024
They're like _Devo_ meets _The Cramps_
svencouture2598, present and accounted for 🎸
Still listening at 71....Spicy Beanburger !!!!
🙋
32 years later, the time is ripe for a Dread Zeppelin revival! Tortelvis for the people!!
LOL nice one! I'm in
Tortelvis in 2024!!
Ha ha-I can dig it, that'd be cool--I'm in too! Tortelvis is da man!
Tortelvis for Pope. We got a religion here.
@@dikbozo White smoke, new Pope is done!
Dread Zeppelin was emerging right around the time I was in/completing High School. I remember first hearing them on the local radio stations and seeing them on some TV appearances then- and perhaps found them more entertaining than the band that inspired them and provided significant source material. 😂 Then on a related note, there was El Vez, the Mexican Elvis, that was on the airwaves close to the same time. As Mojo Nixon famously quipped, "Elvis is everywhere."
By chance I have quite a few videos from El Vez, including one full concert. Thanks for commenting and sharing your memories of that time.
El Vez 👍
Led Presley.
Ха, ха, два раза
This is both mental and mesmerising. Thankyou so much for this STV.
Thanks for watching and commenting Chris
Just fuckin WOW!!! 33 years later just hopin their still gigging and planning a UK tour, just saying 😎😎
Saw them in Florida in 1990 at a college campus show. Maybe 1000 fans in a smaller venue, and they rocked!!!
Thanks for watching and commenting Christian
I remember them well, they got a lot of exposure in the early 90’s, possibly due to LZ coming back into fashion/legendary status.
They were/are a great band that ROCK!
Thank you for this.
I bet that Zappa would have LOVED these guys!
I never gave it a thought until you mentioned it, but you are probably right
Actually in 88 Zappa himself played a raegga Version of Stairway, having his Brass section playing Jimmy Page's Solo note for note.
This is the best thing I've seen in ages.
My friends and me had their first album in heavy rotation, and we saw them live in Munich in '90 or '91. Great music, great comedy. Thank you for posting!
Thanks for watching and commenting Eos
I'm fuckin speechless, the most awesome sound I've ever heard, proper bunch of geezers, (yes I'm English lol)😎
I'm glad you found and enjoyed this video John
On the same bill that evening: Galaxie 500, The Mission, Einstürzende Neubauten. DZ were a complete and very nice surprise to me!
That is an amazing line up
i saw Dread Zeppelin with Mojo Nixon in London Ontario in the early 90's it was fantastic, Tortelvis with the claw and Mojo with that sheep, fuck ewe, so funny
Happy with the original coloured vinyl since then.
Haha! Yes!!! I saw them once, not too long after this! Totally forgot about them until now
The lead guitarist fingers are so long! He can really easily reach all the chords! I'm jealous!
Couldn't agree more....had the privaledge of catching them unexpectedly one evening.please do a reunion tour.. you can count on me being there if you do.... the world desperately needs levity now.not to mention entertaining music.....
Thanks for watching and commenting Phil
Thanks for this I've never seen DZ but have 4 of their albums Un-Led-Ed, 5,000, Hot Spicy Bean Burger and No Quarter Pounder (my favorite). They're fun to listen to.
I saw these guys in San Diego somewhere around the early 90's, I was really stoned... 2024 I'm listening to these guys on youtube, really stoned...maybe I'm still there but here if you know what I mean?
It's still the 90s dude, this is just a hallucination 😉
Great
Thanks for watching and commenting Peter
Back then all you needed was a gimmick and unbeatable riffs
This channel is a time tunnel
Thanks Franklin
Great Scot!!
This is fun. I forgot about these guys. I love the guitar player throwing in the riff from the Batman tv show theme song at the end of the first song.
Oh man!
This is fuckin awesome!
Brilliant!!!
GREAT BAND!
Awww man I’m watchin this again ! I love this guy!!!😂😂😂
🤩 tY! i listen to them daily
Whenever the term "concept band" comes up I always bring up DZ. What they have in common with acts like Tragedy etc is musical perfection. DZ had a trifecta of parody.
"Give me an A-flat minor 7th...diminished." (36:37) Like, specifically. I know what I want. 😀
That was more fun than I expected. Thank you for posting! 👏 👏 🙂
That's the kind of perfectionism I would expect from these guys.
the American tradition for parody bands.. between Surf Punks and Tenacious D
I had only ever heard about these guys. I did have a chance to see them BITD. I forget why I didn't. It might have been laundry night or something.
No matter. This video kills. Black Dog Reggae. Custard Pie WTF? They are absolutely loving it. Can't buy something like this anywhere that I have seen.
Musical comedy is very hard to do. It has a tendency to get too nerdy or obscure. These guys treaded the line so very carefully and succeeded. Bravo.
True, only ones that come to mind are the mothers of invention with Flo and Eddie , the tubes, spinal tap and the legendary Louis prima with Keely smith and Sam buttera ant the witnesses
This is so absurd, but it sounds good.
Saw them at Cambridge Junction and it was a brilliant gig, I've got Unledded somewhere.
Next level....
Thanks for watching and commenting Billy 🙂
Has the look and feel of t.i.s.m (this is serious mum) gig. Without the seething anger and potential for violence.
Viva Tortelvis!!
I heard them being played on WDET public radio in Detroit in the mid 80’s and ran out and purchased the Un- Ledded Cd, then $500.000, then The Sessions CD’s . I love The Song Remains the Same and Your time is gonna Come.
Thanks for watching and commenting Scot
@scotstevens5263: Me two. I think Judy Adams aired them before anyone.
dis be sum funk meester
(I came back here to remember laughter)
One of the best 😅
Excellent! You're raising the bar again, Steve. A friend toured them here in Oz, maybe the same year, so good & so much fun! I'm reminded of an Irish bloke, The King, who released an LP called Gravelands full of Elvis style covers some time in the 90s, went a little like this...ua-cam.com/video/RuBAqCBFNF8/v-deo.html
Shame they dont film the end of Stairway to heaven... one of the best covers of the world.
Yep love it, first time I saw and heard it I thought WTF, but my surprise turned to love.
hier hat Gott extra die Finger gemischt..
Black Dog effin' rocks.
I thought Elvis’ last concert was in Indianapolis !!!😂😂😂😂
❤
I love me some Dread Zep! I want to know what brand guitars those two guitarists are playing? They sound killer! Thanks for sharing this! 🙏
Saw them at wetlands , NY pretty good
Saw them several times in Tucson, Arizona. They used to play at a small club on the south side of the UA campus. It was always fabulous music. This performance does not match up to what I saw. Good, but not like live in a small venue with the band bunched up and tight. I've got a couple of their CD's. Smart move in producing and publishing their own music. I always assumed they made their fortunes - bailed on the music scene and just enjoyed life in CA!
I saw them live in 1998 and Charlie Hogg spoofed the audience by coming out from backstage absolutely shredding on a guitar. Then he stops, but the guitar solo is still playing. Judge Elvis motions to Charlie to keep up the pantomime but he just stands there looking at Elvis and acting befuddled. I'm not describing it well, but it was hilarious.
Only remember these guys fleetingly but that looks like a cracking night out. Thanks Steevee!
Tortelvis would make a good drag queen impersonation of Divine! He kinda looks like Glenn Milstead!💋💄
Led Zeppelin crossed with Divine 🤣 Native love remix with page on guitar😵
MC5
I think their guitarist plays cleaner than JP himself!
My name is Peter Alexander! Haaahahaha!
I wonder what AI would say if you asked for “give me Led Zeppelin playing reggae with Elvis on vocals”. It would probably tell you it was not possible, and why would you ask for such a thing?😂
Charlie Hodge
Oooooh
Led Sideburns
Это всё равно , что скрестить арбуз , с помидором 😅
The elevator is out, you'll have to take the stairway to heaven , don't forget to redeem your parking ticket if you rode a camel, clean air is good for the environment, but camel farts, well that is a new wait a minute, who let you in here, oh so you think you can blzxkblaht to mageaj anytime you want, ok, go on in..
This really sucks, what a bunch of clowns😴
@ *minute marker **32:21** damn them moves that guitarist is making puts others to pure shame lol :)P*
My country did not create Led Zeppelin. But we perfected it.
Genius These were brilliant whatever happened to them they were big at one time
🎯
Where are they now!! ?
✊GR8 Vibes..🎶🤍🕊️
I saw them around this time. They became one of my all-time favorite bands.
I saw them live in Philly some time in the mid 90's and was blown away by just how good they were. Tortelvis gets all the love but the band has some serious chops and the lead guitarist was playing Jimmy Page riffs and solos note for note. One of the best shows I've seen and just about the most fun I've ever had with my trousers on. Thanks for posting this.
I was fortunate to see this lineup back in 1990. In a tiny little bar in Lawrence, Kansas. They've gone through some changes (rip Jah Paul Jo) over the years, but the original band was the best in my opinion.
Never heard of them but this live is wilde !
Better than Nirvana hands down.
Thanks for watching and commenting🎸
They're just sick at what they do. I think I remember how there were two ways to like Zepplin in the 90s...One was learning Stairway to Heaven, the other was learning Butthole Surfer's Hairway to Steven..I ws of course in the latter.
Hahaha 😂 These guys are unhinged and totally brilliant. Elvis, Led Zep and Reggae. What an inspired idea 😂😂🤘😎
Is that a fat Elvis singing Zeppelin?..... Genius!!
Thanks teevee , I had heard of these maniacs, but never heard/seen them. Just entertaining as a m***erfu**er awesome 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🥰😉🙃
What a treat, thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it
Who needs drugs when this is available?
Unique band, it requires musical talent, imagination and creativity to mix The King and Led Zeppelin with reggae.
Thanks for watching and commenting
You're doing God's work here!
Thank You Ron 😇
This seems perfectly normal since we slipped into the alternative universe of Donald trump.😳

@@levyashin23 yes!
Plant should have gone this way, utterly awesome.
What a lack of respect ! 😂🤣😭😂🤣
😂 jajajaja ! Damned heretics 🤟🏽😂
Ya Mon.....genius type ting going on.!!
These guys rocked!
Thanks for watching and commenting
I really think Elvis didn't die, faked his death, and lived on as Tortelvis playing the music he "really" loved -- Reggae and Zeppelin. 😁
What a lack of respect ! 😂🤣😭😂🤣
They have been the best since the gitgo!!!
❤❤❤ then and now
Lookin, and playin good
These guys rock!
Ultimate ride 🙏👍🤟
🤮
