    This is one of biggest flaw of our country's political system. With no defined structure for political parties these politicians will just cling on to who ever they feel has the best chance of winning. Here in the PH it's always Admin vs Opposition. But one key element that was vaguely mentioned in this video was parties are not just mechanism to win an election, the most impotant thing is they adopt an ideology which will the party stands for. Problema kasi satin mga Pinoy pag election na alam ntin kung ano hinhanap natin. Pero di natin alam kung SINONG kandidato meron nun since sa campaign nila puro kalokohan and old cliche lang hinhighlight nila.Tama ba naman ipagmalaki mo mga npasa mong batas e trabaho mo mgpasa ng batas pra iimprove buhay ng mga Pinoy. That should be expected of you. Kaya ending kung sino na lang sikat at matunog yun na lang iboboto. I do acknowledge that these parties do adopt some form of idielogies but they don't really put enough emphasis on those. And us common pinoys really lacks the education on how those ideologies directly affects our lives. Since these ideologies should basically dictates how the winning party layouts their economic, local and foreign policies. And if it's apparent what values a certain party favors. Whether it be liberal, conservative, progressive, collectivism, individualism or inclusive side of the spectrum. Voters will have a better idea who they should vote for based on the platforms that aligns with what they value more rather than someone who can sing and dance better. 2022 election is looming. If we as a Nation really want real change we should start voting intelligently. Hindi yung kung sino lang trending. I'm not really expecting someone from GMA to actually read this rant. But I hope you can spearhead this movement for a better Philippines.

      Ang problema naman po kasi, masyadong illiterate ang mga Pilipino para malaman yung "political spectrum," "political compass," "Nolan Chart," and anything about political ideologies. In U.S. and Europe nagdedebate talaga sila hindi sa kung anong pinaglalaban mo kundi sa anong pinaglalaban ng partido mo (ex. Republican small government vs Democrat big government). Dito ang alam lang ng tao political colors, political dynasties, balimbing dito balimbing doon.

      @@thehandsomemutt Hmm yung ideology mo kasi, walang partidong mayroong ganyan, if ever na mayroon man ay hindi yun isa sa 5 "major parties" natin (Lakas-CMD, NPC, LP, NP, PDP-LABAN), pero yung ideology mo is sosyalismo pero pinamumunuan tayo ng monarch (hari/reyna), tanong, saang ka kukuha ng monarch? Yes mayroon tayong nag-iisang royal family na buhay pa dito at yun ay ang Sulu pero hindi papayag ang mga Pilipino kasi Christian country tayo eh. Kung tanggalin mo lang yung word na "conservative" sa ideology mo, baka sa PDP-LABAN ka bagay (democratic socialist, tinatag ni Ninoy Aquino and Nene Pimentel).

      @@unsec-genantonioguterres5788 Tigilan mo po ang pagbanggit ng systemang "Monarchy" Laos na yun. Napatumba na ang mga hari at reyna sa Europe ever since the French Revolution. Ang natira na lang ay halimbawa sa Saudi Arabia o Thailand na may hari. We must move on forward, just like how Capitalism replaced Feudalism. And in the far future Communism will replace Capitalism.

      Fun fact: may political dynasty sa pilipinas dahil sa mga term limits. Isipin niyo lang kung politiko kayo. Maliban kung magreretire ka na, bakit mo ibibigay ang pwesto na pinaghirapan mo, sa anak mo na hindi naman marunong. Ikaw yung nagaral ng batas at ekonomiya, apelyido lang ang kapareho ninyo. Normal naman ang mga political dynasty pero usually magulang at isang anak na parehong nagaral, hindi palipat-lipat sa asawa,kapatid, panganay hanggang bunso. (Opinyon ko lang to at hindi ko sinasabing ito lang yung factor.).

    Thats why talk is cheap in PH politics. Its so easy to switch sides. Come election all you really need to do (as an aspiring politician who wants a long career) is to know who is the trending cool kids, bullies and jocks are and align yourself. Its a popularity contest.

      @@thehandsomemutt yes, you are correct. European governments are majority parliamentary system or a mixed of presidential and parliamentary system. Each leader of the party who won the most numbers of representatives will form the government, and hence to be the prime minister.
      The leadership battle actually starts from the bottom level, because every leadership of political party is challenged by the political process (also called the PARTY'S CONSTITUTION) of nomination, debates and then by ballot voting of party members (politicians and union members). So the party leader does not win only by popularity but by "qualification and performance in the debates."

      Political Parties are the coalition/alliance/party you are under when running a position
      while partylist is a group or an alliance that would be a representative in the congress
      Example: Kabataan Rep. Sara Elago, shes is the Rep. of Kabataan Partylist, but she is under Makabayan Party.
      Anakalusugan Rep. Mike Defensor is representing Anakalusugan partylist, but he is under PRP or People's Reform Party

      Nope, multi-party pa rin pero gawing parliamentary. Tas para hindi masyadong maraming party nakakapasok sa legislature, FPTP pa rin o shift to MMP voting system.

      Goodluck with that brother, patuloy mo palang pag aaral mo.
      Ang tip ko sayo, wag mo ilimit ang pag aral mo sa classroom, mag aral ka din outside sa classroom katulad sa pag nonood netong video. Kailangan maging entertainment ang pag aaral mo nang pulitiko at maging daily routine to para kada araw mas tumatalino ka at nag hahanda maging public servant.
      Tsaka as early as now, gumawa kana nang mga connections sa mga government officials. Iba talaga sa Pilipinas ang pulitiko, hindi ka aangat kung wala kang connections, iyan ang truth at kahit sinong prominenteng politician sasabihin din yan sayo. Eto ang realidad nang Philippine political climate atm, kaya kailangan mo mag adapt.

    MODIFY THE PHILIPPINE POLITICAL PARTY SYTEM, ASAP!
    We can have our own version of a 2 party system, Nationalista Party (Republican) VS Demokratika Party (Democrats). Each main party will have representative offices representing the indegenous or margenlized groups. And this will be a under a Federal for system of government, with Ministers and Prime Ministers running the government, with President as the head of state, directly voted by the people. And only with 1 legislative body the unicameral form of legislative process.

      US isn't in any way a "model democracy."
      The public there are highly polarised because of the 2 parties.
      It has been consistently ranked as "flawed democracy" from 2016.
      And things like Jan. 6 and Trump assassination attempt happen there.
      At this point, PH is just the same as US, both are "flawed democracies" and both use presidential system. US' only advantage is its strong party politics.

    NO NO NO to Liberal Party. NO NO NO to TOO MUCH freedom, NO NO NO to TOO MUCH democracy or DEMONcrazy, YES YES YES to Singapore style of DICTATORSHIP-Democracy. Singapore is one of the RICHEST countries of the world.
    The BEST Democracy is Singapore Democracy; PH Democracy is Liberal Party Democracy which is the WORST Democracy.
