@@markkaistone6419No, outside of comics or back to the future paradoxes we're used a lot more narratively than multiverse or string theory The punchline is very much Dexter closed a boot strap paradox when he came back through the time machine and decided that intervening wasn't worth the effort. So he's gonna forget about this in a weeks time or when the next big lab incident happens except for the part where he's famous in the future and maybe has to join that company young adult him works for. He's definitely going to relive this all, including the whipping.

A causes B to happen then it comes back to A because of the loop then that goes on forever even though B technically has no origin point for how it originally occured; Dexter(young Dexter) will always be attacked by robots claiming to destroy the one who saves the future-> dexter will go to see his young adult self and figure out how that worked then be disappointed in him and go further into the future forcing young adult Dexter to leave his ideas out to be stolen by Mandark-> those two Dexter's meet old AF dexter and learn he did save the future but he doesn't remember how -> the three Dexter's split the difference and go a bit back in time before having to overthrow tyrant mandark who became that way because presumably Dexter originally drops off young adult Dexter at some point and he has to become bald dexter -> despite the epic final battle DeeDee comes through the time machine and saves the day causing all of the Dexters to build robots to go assassinate DeeDee "the one who saves the future" though they get intercepted by the young Dexter-> Dexter realizes the paradox as a young Dexter who hasn't experienced the story yet leaves to go experience the story and then says eff it. Probably forgets about it. Then he grows up, gets his spirit broken down as young adult Dexter working a 9-5 before being approached by his younger self and the loop goes til he ages into old AF Dexter. Dexter deciding not to do anything about the mess after going through the adventure as a kid solidifies the timeline as we see it in the story, he could maybe have caused a shift to another timeline by intervening. But he doesn't. So he's fated to relive every Dexter form we see in the movie; young adult, bald, and old AF dexter. Which mostly works out for him.
Then further in the future, Primal. According to the Director, primal and Dexter's lab exist on the same timeline, however I like to think Primal is the distant future instead of distant pass.

Some groups of people survived and had to start civilization from scratch and the monuments that remained from the past influenced how people would grow and develop. In Primal you don't just see people restarting civilization you see new strains of humans like the giants and you see intelligent apes that know magic, there's a chance that the black goo the monkeys used might have been apart of Akus essence thus tying it with Samurai Jack which might be even farther into the future and them another 10K years as well.

However, I say primal is the distant future because of one, putting too much logic into things, humans, dinosaurs, Spear, dinosaurs that glow in the dark, and humans that are quite established. So I believe humanity destroyed itself after super geniuses like Dexter did stuff, and maybe Mandark was involved in some way.

it's exactly as he said at the end, Dexter chooses to outright ignore the paradox meaning he doesnt think about it at all after the movie and because he doesnt learn his lesson he is doomed to repeat the entire movie in some form ... which actually happens twice. Dexter is VERY resistant to lessons he doesnt want to learn
I think it maybe closer to a multiverse theory, the Canon event between the 3 was mandark, battle and DeeDee However those are still different versions/timelines of dexter therefore yada yada

I remember the first time I saw this movie as a kid. I thought it was so damn insane that it was good. Storytelling 101 and made me fall in love with this show even more. It inspired me to become a good story teller.

For me Dexter's lab ends with Ego trip Candi Milo was a great replacement for the Late Christine Cavanaugh but that new look and new episodes were just bad
