Would you like to try out a custom DDM with online play? I am developing one and I have a discord server where we get matches going. Let me know if interested.
I loved this game, I used to play it a lot when I was younger with my friends in between YuGiOh matches and I even had friends who did not like the card game but loved Dungeon dice monsters.
Truly from another time. A simpler time. A more fun time. I had forgotten about DDM. It was super cool and fun! It's a shame it tanked. Guess I'll have to get a 3d printer and find some models to print and start playing
If you search "Dungeon Dice Monsters" on Cults3d, you'll find a good number of printable models. I've been meaning to get around to printing some of my own after getting my new printer set up.

0:06 Well, I guess it's not easy to find a good translation for a manga, especially when it comes to differentiating the way one language is used from another. In the manga, the original game is D.D.D. or "Dragon, Dice and Dungeons"...
In the world of Kickstarter and other crowd funding sites...... how have we not had a Dungeon Dice Monster "adjacent" product released? Even if just for unofficial expansions?
Honestly good question? I like to think that most just prefer the regular card version since it the main point from the show. Less stuff to buy. But yeah this dice game could have work if someone rework some stuff and rules, gave better artwork. I had this strange interest to revisiting it now.
I've been using some of my free time to create homebrew rules and stats for new monsters for the game... no idea how I'll get models made to 3D print the miniatures but I'm enjoying just making the stats and effects for monsters that weren't originally in DDM. I've done 11 so far and am toying around with 68 more. So... I don't see myself doing that full 68 but we'll see. I have no one to play with even if I do get the minis made but I'll worry about that later.
It definitely seems like it had a lot of potential. While the GBA version seems fun it'd be nice to see a full blown console release one day. It would have made an awesome GameCube title in more ways than one.

japanime tactics: granblue fantasy is the closest i've seen anyone get to this game...in spirit anyway. it's still a very different beast to be clear, but it really nails the appeal of a more simplistic miniatures game by drawing inspiration from tactical jrpgs (like fire emblem and final fantasy tactics). also has tcg like mechanics with each unit having 6 cards tied to them that go into your deck. i highly recommend looking into it if that sounds interesting at all.
Subbed to your channel after watching your Beyblade X video. I grew up with Vforce/Metal Fusion and it's awesome to see so many people still playing. I have been fortunate enough to still own my collections of beys and appreciate your video on them.
Wont want to sounf like a wizkids defender. But in the past years they have been upping the quality of their figures alot (now they are bigger). So they are not as ugly as the ones in the examples
I mean you're free to defend it, I certainly don't mind being challenged on my takes. And honestly yeah that does make sense as I haven't really looked into what they've been up to since the Pacific Rim set. It is good to know that they've upped the quality since I do respect what they're out there doing even if it isn't for me.
The game should just be remade and come as 6 piece character starter decks with dice, quality tile pieces and cards with their figures. Keep it simple. Wave one should be Kaiba, Yugi, Joey and Tea for fairy tribal. Wave two should be Pegasus, Paradox, Duke Devlin and Bandit Keith. Wave 3 could be Marik with lava golem and masked beast, Gosaburo for Exodia/Necross, Bakura Necrofear Board and Mai Make a "starter or core" set that has generic good monsters and a cloth mat. Make unique character skills kind of like how speed duel does it.
konami shoulkd give another try especially since nowadays everyone seems to be going into wargaming marvel gundam also Yu-Gi-Oh! EARLY DAYS COLLECTION will have dungeon dice

The capsule monster arc is what got me interested in miniatures. It’s been a long road with a lot of painted models since then.
Truly a lost gem
I would play the hell out of this.

If you have a 3d printer, there is unofficial stuff you can get.
