I know this video is old but the music is 80's throwback. I thought this would be more thorough but the junction box and bracket are probably the most important part of the installation. They should assume it's the first time a fan is being installed.
No one talks about the switch cup and how to find it and how to reverse the direction of the blades for winter. I have stood on a ladder and felt entirely around my Mojo and never found a switch to move to the right. I'm so frustrated and it's been several years! LOL
I don’t know how to check if hanger ball is in correct position - if fan wobbles a lot does that mean that it’s not? Instructions say to rotate motor until the check groove from ball is over the “registration tab” and registration slot” (i don’t know what this looks like or I can’t find it). Is there a close up that shows this? The fan is five years old - is it likely that it has come out of its groove?
I have two Minka Aire Como fans in my living room. One is set to winter and one is set to summer setting. They both work on the same remote. How do I get them spinning the Same way? Thank you!
+Jacques Camhout You need to use two remotes. You need to set the dip switches inside the remote under the battery as well as in the receiver in the fan (usually in with the wiring when you take the ceiling cover off)... the manual will tell you how to do this.
Most fans will have a black toggle switch up on the switch housing, near the pull chains.. and just needs to be switched to the left or to the right, forward or backward. If the remote you are using has a reverse and they both are running on the same remote one of the fans needs to be unwired and then switch the reverse on the fan that is still wired and then rewire the other fan back in and they should be running the same direction. You will have to unwire one of the fans if there is no switch on the fan itself.
He didn't mention it. I have an extra wall switch that I would like to use in addition to the remote. But it doesn't say how to connect in this respect.
Almost all Minka glass shades are merely Twisted on clockwise if you don't see any hardware that is because there isn't any. They go into a slot that gets tighter as you rotated clockwise. If it does not budge it is because of the heat of the bulbs have kind of locked into place but small Taps on the glass as you're twisting it counterclockwise it should release it.
I have a 82” Xtreme h20 and it does not work good at all! It can be on the highest speed and you can barely feel any air and yes it is spinning the correct way it spins fast just poor design I guess
My parents bought a minka fan. Brand new BROKEN right out of the box. Didn’t know until it was all installed. The control that’s wired to the fan never worked. Cheap Chinese crap!!!
Awesome music!! I would connect the wires and install the canopy before installing the blades.
