I get Eloise wants Colin to know. He is her brother. But that isn’t all there is to it! Her threatening Pen and making snarky comments at the engagement party is shady and petty. She so desperate to hurt pen she not caring about ruining a special moment for her brother. Eloise either needs to tell him or back off.
I agree with you about what Eloise needs to do at this point. I dread to say it but regarding this topic Eloise's character in the show is starting to seem like Cressida's character from the books. Eloise's life has a bit of scandal to it. So no one in this mixing pot is without a bit of intrigue. If they were it is unlikely any of us would be reading or watching this. Though with the show it seems there are some mixed emotions Eloise has towards Pen and it does seem to come out as hostility. Even Cressida in the show mentions to Eloise that she might try a 'looking glass'. I'd like to see Eloise and Pen as friends but depending on how Part 2 of this goes, I could change my mind on that and instead support the idea of a Francesca and Pen friendship.

@@rubysmolen5155 I'm not sure if it's the writers intent or not either. I haven't a clue about the reasoning behind it, just that I'm not a fan of it. I've watched Part 2 and I still have conflicted feelings about the show. I like the show for some reasons and the book for others. But for me they are almost so different in some cases that they are nearly entirely different stories. The reasoning for choices entirely changes and thereby the characters are different as well. Where is Felicity?, for instance. Well I hope you find some of Part 2 enjoyable to watch regardless.
I feel like Colin is gonna be mad fo like 2 seconds and then be understanding but still worry about her safety with the Queen out for Lady Whistledown

I definitely agree! I honestly hopes he understands that she may like alittle mess but she’s an amazing person.
I never read the book, but i've often wondered if the Featherington's ever found out Pen's identity

But in the show, they speed things up. It’s 1815 and she’s 19. They’ve already put a bounty on her head.

@@sarickacampbell2642 but the book about Pen and Colin also takes place around that time. He finds out not much earlier than the others, so the show taking place when she is 19 and not 28 does not mean nobody else can finds out
Love your reactions! I thought this was a great trailer. I think they made it deliberately misleading. I don't for one minute think that Pen will actively try to keep the LW secret from Colin. I think she will try to tell him multiple times but they will always be interrupted. There are definitely some audio splices as well. I do love the little interaction with the three brothers at the beginning where they have the callback to how ridiculous Anthony was with the duel in Season 1...also a nice nod to the fact that they pretty much already consider Pen family and care about her "honor".
I think i remember reading that the 5000 pound bounty that Queen Charlotte is offering to unveil Lady Whistledown is something like a half million dollars 😮
Fairy godmother" you have until the last stroke of midnight and then the spell will be broken and everything will go back to what it was before" The trailer gives major cinderella vibes which works Both for Penelope because she is a lot like cinderella- her sisters are horrible to her and her mother could be considered abusive it also looks like it is potentially setting up Benedicts story- which apparently is a nod/take on cinderella if Benedict is next. The trailer looks amazing! I am both excited and nervous! Penelope may be keeping being whistledown a secret but she has never lied in her column- whistledown and her other self is still her - 2 sides of the same coin- whistledown is her confident self and the other self is her less confident/introverted self. whistledown creates the space for her to be confident, and have some amount of agency at a time when women essentially had none! Eloise is right that Penn needs to tell Collin but it is not her place to tell Colin- I'm wondering how much of her wanting Penn to come clean is really because she loves both of them or it's just Eloise being petty and still resentful and jealous of Penn and is taking out that jealousy out on Penn in a petty way. to say he cannot possibly love you when he probably in away knows Penn better then Eloise just in a different way- Penn was in a way never really herself around Eloise or was atleast only showed her more reserved closed off self with Eloise- with Collin she is being herself- her confident most at ease self. we all have different sides to ourselves and certain sides are shown to different people while we hid/shield other parts of ourselves because we are not as comfortable showing that side with others, but when we do show that side to someone it's because w feel safe and comfortable to do so, and/or they pull that side out of us when we are around them.

Sorry but I’m on Eloise’s side on this. Love Pen but Colin is eventually going to find out and it’s better if pen is the one to tell him. LW says she doesn’t like a lie… then tell your fiancée.
She is right to want Pen to tell him but not to threaten her at their engagement party & not to throw shade at her in a toast. Unfortunately, Eloise can’t understand the stakes. She’s not ever been in Love, she doesn’t know that it’s really too late to call things off. I don’t know if she’s actually trying to hurt Pen but Eloise has a lot of selfish even childish behavior at times
