in WWII the Americans pretty much never used APHE, it had worse pen and the he part didn't really help them in disabling tanks enough to make the significant decrease in pen worth it.

The M72 AP round was the round first issued with the Shermans in North Africa but got replaced shortly after with the M61 APCBC-HE-T shell (and later on M61A1) which increased penetration at range and against angled armor because it recieved a ballistic cap that the early M72 lacked. Its totally inaccurate that any Sherman 75mm variant would use M72 AP after the North African campaign.
As a WT player, I'm confused on some shots. Why not shoot center mass on the Puma and the Tiger's sides? Even without HE filler shells, isn't the shell and spall enough for an instant knock out?
Shooting center of Tiger's side can give only a possible pen at close range and 90 degree angle, while shooting above the tracks always gives certain penetration.
as a wt player i also dont shoot in the centre of the tigers side, just like in this game, when you shoot between the tracks you 99% of the time hit juicy ammo and the tiger explodes. (also the armor is a bit weaker between the tracks then the upper side armor if you didnt know)
My god, their situational awareness is terrible. I think I've only lost once to a Jumbo (in my Tiger) and I've encountered them at least 100 times... Know your maps, your weak points... and theirs. Shoot them in the MG port or their front sprocket if angled. The sides are easy prey no matter what.
