Great to see the pooch on the river. That sluice was set up beautifully. Perfect. That place has some cool looking plants. Great video brother. Olmost looks like a rainforest
I have done a lot of mining in many of the creeks in Washington, with my best friend (Black Labrador) Tucker for over 10 years together, he enjoyed his time on the creeks playing in the water all day while I was mining, he passed away at 14 years old, have not been mining since, miss him dearly!!!😢
The are definitely the best! After losing my previous lab, it took me many years to get another. Prospecting solo was the last straw and I got lucky and got a pup from the breeder of my previous lab. (Same bloodline and in the family tree 😀) his last litter before retirement. If you can and the cards are right maybe consider another? Regardless if you get the itch and are able hit me up and I'd love to share the joy these girls give me and some prospecting time.
@@DoggoneGold yeah it's been really tough since losing my mining buddy, it's never easy, they give you so much love, fun and loyalty in their short lives, haven't had the want to go mining after he passed on, I will try to overcome it, thought about getting another buddy, always looking for the pure bread labradors (American labs) really hard to find them right now for some reason!!
@@DoggoneGold That's why I enjoyed watching you and your buddy mining together, brought back some happy memories to me watching that, was really happy for you.
@jackdaniel7465 I'm glad you enjoyed it! Most every goofy thing I've had Stormy do was like there's no way she's going to do this! Then I'm like Stormy, you just keep amazing me! Good fun!!! 😁
Greeting from across the waters , Victoria BC , This is so much like a lot of the creeks and Streams on Vancouver Island lots of great places to pan over here also ,
@@DoggoneGold one of the UA-camrs is pioneer Pauly he pans The Sooke and Leech rivers just north of Victoria, I use to ride my bike as a kid in the mid 1970s and camp there I never knew back then about the potential opportunities to find gold ,
@squamishfish I have seen many of his videos, and he definitely has it going on. I lived in SE AK most of my life and never once put a gold pan in the water when I lived up there. One of these days, I'm going back up to hit it and see what I missed out on.
I think it can be tougher in British Columbia, We can’t have a sluice in the water ways , Even small one like his i,we can’t let the flow go back into the streams we have to make a run off the reason is not to disturb any Salmon bearing waters ,
Hi, what part of the Olympic mountains do you recommend , East, North, South. or West? I assume you stay out of the park proper. I've looked at the North side inland from the Straight and found it good although access is tricky.
I like the west side the best north of Port Angelas. Anything coming off of Mount Angelas usually find some color. Navigating the park.boundaries are a real pain, for sure. I use onx on my phone, and it helps a lot as there is a ton of privately owned land also. I haven't gotten out much this year, but I am finding out classifying and hauling dirt home yields better results as I get consistent runs on my home setup with pump and jet dry. (Super fines) Still love feeding the sluice though!
I've never tried that spot. I know Tarboo Creek has a little gold, and I'm guessing the water is coming from similar areas. It's worth a shot for sure. I drive buy there all the time but never even been to the falls.
Stormy is Gold 🎉and beauty view.

@jackdaniel7465 Definitely the truth when they say man's best friend! Hopefully the right pup will show up when the times right.

Loved the video! Great total, but daring to bring the wash station in, that takes guts!👍😆👏🏼
Glad you liked! Hahahaha ya sometimes you just gotta risk it 🤣
Awesome job out there! Wishing you all the best!
Thanks a bunch!
👍
Glad you liked! Appreciate it!
I have that same shovel fiberglass handle guy. It's lasted the longest. I usually break them prying at rocks
That one has not put fiberglass spines in my hand yet. Soon as it does it goes bye bye lol
Very nice area you are at , sluice box looking good , you have it setup very nice, everything moving good ,🦅🦅🦅🦅
Thanks Appreciate it!
The state has made it tuff to prospect for gold with the new rules.
They definitely have. I got equipment just growing cobwebs thanks to new rules 😞

I live near Discovery Bay. I was thinking about taking my pan down to Ludlow falls. Any thoughts?
I've never tried that spot. I know Tarboo Creek has a little gold, and I'm guessing the water is coming from similar areas. It's worth a shot for sure. I drive buy there all the time but never even been to the falls.
@DoggoneGold that makes sense. Since Tarboo sits in an ancient river valley! Thanks for the input!
@Josh22 Good luck, and let me know what you find. I'm working on putting some very near future outings together
The music makes this unbearable
It's definitely hard to find good free music and youtube doesnt have many options. Thanks for the input 😀
@@DoggoneGold It was just a little too loud for me but the selection wasn't bad. Couldn't understand you very well because of the music.
I Appreciate any and all input! Thanks!! @JoeHamel0
