This is a case of stubbornness. He's clearly unwilling to listen to logic and reason about the reality of these documents which ultimately comes to his loss. He will never sell them for what he want's because anyone that's going to pay that much for something isn't stupid and will check. Now also being on this show he's lost all credibility to himself by arguing with the expert who made several valid points.

As an engineer, those documents are NOT 'blueprints'. It's a drawing, that's it. Also, I can print a past date on a drawing and fake the paper/ink.
Just to give you an idea, it took 2 years of design and development to design the electronics racks for Zumwalt class destroyers. I know because I was part of it. If they were preliminary, those dates would be years before the deployment date.

Rarity is everything, if there were over 100 of these printed then the value plummets, the only way I could see the value going above that $10,000 line is if they were indeed the blueprints or if these documents do turn up to be 1 of 100 instead of 1 of 1,000.

interesting point of the detonation of the Main was it was caused by a Fuel Air explosion caused by an existing coal bunker fire that had been burning for perhaps a week or more. The fire weakened the transverse bulkheads into the adjoining bunker which had been emptied of coal but still had a large amount of coal dust present. When the coal dust ignited it blew the side of the ships out and it almost immediately sunk.

Apparently he's still trying to sell them online for thousands of dollars. So apparently he hasn't duped anyone yet.
Albeit he's asking price has gone down with him only wanting a meager $8995.00 for the turret one.
And while I'll admit he does ask some potentially interesting question. One also has to consider that the Maine's importance largely comes from her sinking since she was already out of date when she entered service. This is because she began construction in October of 1888 with her keel being laid, but she wasn't finished until years later. Since I'm guessing her nine year building time also includes her being approved by congress in August of 1886.

These sellers don't seem to understand. Yeah, you have something you think is cool, but these Experts literally deal with items of the same type on a daily basis.
Personally I really don't like Craig, he's too smarmy, and straight up looks like a weasel, but even I cannot deny that he knows his stuff.

There would be hundreds of original copies of these blueprints and given to every contractor and bidder. They are not one of a kind and not ‘originals’. Drawings in preparatory stages of development have little significant value because they don’t represent the finished product.

I mean really, if he's that convinced of the value, surely he can go find a different buyer.
I get prospective clients complaining about my prices all the time. "I can go get the same work done for half the price!" Well fine, I say, go ahead and do that. Why would you pay more with me if you can get the same work for half? Answer: you can't.
