    Very interesting. You need to stuff a rag and/or insulation in the window opening. You're probably losing heat as fast as the heater makes it. I bet it will keep your shop warm enough.

      Ill be right in front of it most of the time but once that garage door opens all the heat is pretty much gone.

    Ive owned one for a year. Takes the chill off my fully insulated, attached garage but wont keep it warm in a canadian winter. The cement pad hold the cold alot. Make sure you insulate that exhaust as it really gets hot and aim it down so condensation runs out the exhaust. Have fun and be safe. Cheers

    What’s the ratio you are using with oil vs fuel ?

      I didn't measure anything just dumped it into a storage tank with whatever I can burn.

    Other ppl have used 65% oil, 20-25 gas and 10% diesel. Always start and stop the heater on pure diesel

    do you know roughly the concentration of diesel to used oil? curious if the mix is fairly thick like oil or more watery like diesel.

    • @theoffroadingmechanic
      @theoffroadingmechanic  Рік тому +1

      Don't have a specific concentration or mixture. just been burning with what I have. But definitely need to thin it out I just mix it with gasoline. Waste oil is to thick and it'll smoke and doesn't get hot enough to completely burn will get a lot of carbon deposit in the burner and you will need to clean it out once you can't get it going anymore.

    Would the heater run on bio diesel ? Like used cooking oil?

    Hi,
    I am Iris, working for VEVOR.
    I came across your channel and had a deep impression of your diesel heater video, which is quite professional. I would like to seek an opportunity to work with you.

      Hi how does that work? I recent just purchased another diesel heater last week from the vevor website.

    I really enjoy listening to your voice. You have a great tone and delivery that I think would work well for my videos. Would you be open to the idea of me using it as a AI clone in my content? I think it could add a unique touch and elevate the overall quality of my videos.

      Still going. Made a humming noise so I squirt a shot of brake clean into the intake and it back fired out of the exhaust and a bunch of soot blew out and was fine.

      @@theoffroadingmechanic ok. Are you using used sythetic oil? Or non synthetic?
      If synthetic I promise eventually it will plug up and start making a mess. I have spent too many hours researching and trying solutions....there is another guy on here that got 100s of followers trying tons of things. Everyond gets away with it a while....then it plugs up because it leaves white build up in the burn chamber.
      I do not know about non synthetic.
      Good luck. Report back after 100 hrs run time! Maybe you figured it out!

      I've been mixing everything from synthetic motor, oil transmission fluid, gear oil etc. I just thin it out with the stale gas I get from work. Eventually I'll have to clean it out theres no denying that but it's still going.

      @@theoffroadingmechanic cool. Look up lowered expectations here sometime if you want to see what he learned. I would recommed buying a burner IF you rely on the heater so you can get ir back running quickly when it plugs.

    I actually REALLY like that petrol pump - especially got an idea for using it at motorbike trackdays to fill my bike inbetween sessions! did it come with the valve to add 5psi to it or what?

    • @theoffroadingmechanic
      @theoffroadingmechanic  Рік тому

      The brass tire valve doesn't come with the fuel pump. I just found that it had the same thread as that brass fitting that goes in to the release valve on the cap. It'll be in the link to my Amazon affiliate store.
