finally ONLINE... saw this short film first time in 2011 at my college's Kinoki Film Festival in a cycle of NYU/Columbia U-made short films, and among some of those veeeery disturbing, awfully made or just weird AF... this one STOOD OUT of the rest that even the audience WAS CLAPPING at the very end! and I cannot forget ever since this beautifully made short film which happens to be an MFA Thesis Film made at the NYU Tisch graduate film program!... back then I even mentioned if this film would even made it to the Academy Awards... and GUESS WHAT: month an' half later "GOD OF LOVE" did TOOK THE OSCAR for BEST LIVE-ACTION SHORT FILM!!! I even jumped outta my seat watching the 2011 Oscars! is one of those short films that stays in the memory, and even though nowadays its an oldie-but-goodie, this crowdpleaser film was an unforgettable cinematic experience... acting on point, top-notch writing, directing and editing, marvelous editing, flawless WRITING, beautiful black-and-white cinematography... everything you can expect in a GOOD MOVIE. hope to see an original movie or a TV series made and directed by Luke Matheny, he's a very talented and gifted filmmaker!
