Thanks for Watching!!!
in my younger days we used to make the drive down there every year, always a good time. somewhere I have a picture of me with a Hurst girl on both sides, the camera would need a wide angle lens for that now.
Looks like yyou had a nice day away from the farm n work good to relax . From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful
I haven’t been to this since 79
Well that was different and interesting. I'm afraid your tractor might not stand up to that much horse power, lol. It would look good. I am grateful that you took us along because I don't do very well in the sun and heat. This way I sat in my air conditioning. See you soon.
Nice to see you off the farm! Enjoy!
Man, the field trips are cooler in Indiana. Kids around here go to the apple orchard and if the bus driver is lucky, the bad ones never come out of the corn maze.
🤣 we saw how those southern Michigan boys were turning out going to the apple orchard so we decided we better not let that happen to our kids.
It was nice you could get away and have some time to do what you want, glad you took us along again good camera work Ross
Good video Ross. How about a few of those engines in one of the Olivers. A lot of horsepower and a lot of money. Loved the old hotrods. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for carrying us to the drag races uncle Ross !”👍🏻”
Very interesting video enjoyed very much thanks for sharing and taking us along
When I was young and into racing, I watched, The Snake, The Mongoose, Big Daddy and Cha Cha Muldowney. How old am I. Lol
This is a nice change of pace!
Lots of horsepower, fire, death and destruction cool
🏎️🏎️🏎️🏎️ thanks Michael
I think I could spend all day in the merch/concessions area but $21 for a samich, fries and a drink, wow! I was surprised the stands had very few people in it but not surprised the Walmart Health and Wellness area looked totally abandoned.
Much more in Pomona….a BBQ sandwich without fries & drink is $17….if you add a drink & fries in Pomona then your talking $28 to $30.
We went to the National Drags in Madison, IL (St. Louis) when it was still held in the heat of summer. This was in the days of halter tops that they wore commando. We sat on the 60' line, on the top row with the big signs at our back so we stayed relatively cool in the afternoon shade. In the row in front of us and one seat to the left of me was a gal that nature or a plastic surgeon had blessed. When the nitro-burning cars launched, the pressure wave would hit you in the chest rather hard. It would hit that gal, press those melons almost flat, and many times she had to stuff the buttons back into the halter top. Made for an interesting side view.
Here is an interesting fact. A Top-Fuel dragster only turns 500 revolutions in a run and the 2 spark plugs in a single cylinder only fire 250 times and are usually melted. Counting the burnout, a Top-Fuel car will not turn over 1200 revolutions before it has to be rebuilt.
A modern farm tractor turning 1700 rpm X 60 minutes will turn 102,000 revolutions. Multiply that times 4,000 hours will make 408,000,000 revolutions. That is 204,000,000 injections and the maximum force on bearings and crankshaft.
Several years ago the cost of a run was $10,000. Today it has to be more as parts keep getting more expensive. The fuel cars have to replace the center section and rear axles every 3 runs. Just the cost of the timer box that controls the spark advance, clutch application would build us a very nice and big shop.
Ross lines up with a nitro 1365 pushing 4000hp. The 3 point was removed ro make a spot for the chutes. Go Ross
Wow that’s was awesome Ross that was some sweet sounding music too the ears, they were faster then your camera action LOL
I believe Wright Bros now sell TYM.
Here I thought you would put the thunderbird in this event
Ever wonder how those race engines would last or do in a tractor ?
You should of looked at a up close look at john force merch, he sells his burned pistons to the public signed an autographed hello please buy it from him when he’s in his pits he’ll take a picture with you holding it with him lol 16 time champion good vlog buddy, thanks BigAl California

No fiats there thank goodness lol
Boy! I hope Greta isn’t watchin this video. She’ll be upset !!! 😁🤣
We've all got to get away on occasion. Plenty of ponies in those engines. Wouldn't want to see the operating costs, not unlike the Federal Budget!!!
👍👍
You sound lost with out an oliver!
