I have two Gilles Berthoud Marie Blanque! One with a pressure relief channel and one without. Excellent saddles. I always forget you're a fan of leather saddles Ted. Cool to see one on Jan's bike, too.
Thanks, Ted! Enjoyed the Cascades ride video and was hoping for a bike check. Glad to see this as I was eager to know more about Jan's bike, especially!
Fascinating to see the different approaches in bike design that attempt to solve the same problem. The bend/rake on the fork blades of the Rene Herse, and the way that they taper down towards the dropouts is pretty special. Whoever made that fork really knows what they're doing. Anyone know what rims Jan is running? Decent 26" rims for canti brakes aren't too common these days.
Whoa , that headlight switch on the Rene is awesome 👌
That is an A+ video title and reference. Great movies, but also great bikes here!

gasp!!! Cantilever brakes in 2022! "You can only put down so much brake power anyway..." Ha ha!! Love this video
Man that René Herse steel bike is a looker. The Cannondale is a dream bike, but I'd take the René any day!
that nice low gearing is making me feel better about thinking my 40t chainring and 11-42t cassette is a bit tall for fire trails

Probably A23's.
Two of my favorite people in the bidness right there...
In the venn diagram of my bike and Ted’s, the only overlap is the bar tape 😂 Love both bikes.
Keep the syrup coming!
Nice rides.
Another rippa Ted! Can anyone tell me the handlebar mount Ted has for his Fenix torch? Cheers.
Both really nice bikes....
Can you link the bar end mirror? Thanks!
Nice 👍🏼 mirror. Link please.
yay! post anytime you feel like commenting on interesting bike or related stuff like this !
Anyone know which model mirror that is on Ted's bike? Fun video. Thanks.
26 ain’t dead yet 🥵 Jan’s build is delightful ✨✨✨✨
Awesome :D
Ted, I would love to see you take delivery of (and review) a Rene Herse all-road bicycle...re-branded as a Cannondale "Super Sick" Evo!
CUSTOMIZE THE BIKE FOR YOUR RIDES IS IMPORTANT 🤙🏼
Link and/or info on Ted's handlebar mirror? :)
If I had to guess, it's a Berthoud.
Loving my Rene Herse Hurricane Ridge tires!
Classic bike
Jan seems like a bit of a tedious fellow. His bike is kind of cool, I suppose.
Weight-weenies, go home!
That Rene Herse bike is very light for what it is. Don't take my word for it, check it out.
