Best soup I've ever had. Creamy Wild Rice Smoked Wild Turkey Soup.
Brined a wild turkey, smoked it, defined the meat, made stock from the smoked carcass and bones, then made a wild rice soup. Literally the best soup I've ever had.

    Dear Mr DearMeatfordinner,
Your videos are so informative. I myself have never hunted before, shot plenty of weapons cause I am ex military but seeing how you interact with your sons and make them part of the process has inspired me to sign up for the saftey course and get my PAL (im canadian). My son and I are going to take part in our first hunt this fall for deer and birds. Wondering if you could do a video on what type of equipment you would need to do a deer or turkey hunt as well.
You are very easy to watch and your tutorials on cleaning make everything look so much less intimidating.
    Thank you.

You bring up an interesting argument between my brother and I. He didn't think I should wear a leather jacket because it meant that a cow had died, to which I pointed out that his prime rib had not committed suicide. I look at it from the view that something is going to eventually eat it. I'd get into getting stuck trucks out of the mud, but the list of gear is a bit long and involves a trip to an army&navy surplus store.

I think it’s so cool what you’re doing with those boys. I would have loved to have had that kinda of influence in my life as a teenager or even now. I’d love go on a hunt with you if I’m ever down in that part of Florida. Love the vids!

Robert another great hunt with Paul, nice turkey! Jake likes the turkey meat sliced in strips soaked in zesty Italian dressing then rolled in flour & fried up with rice & milk gravy. You did a great job cooking it up as always

When i make soups with rice or pasta I always cook it separately from the soup. If we do not eat the whole pot of soup for one meal then if i cook the rice or pasta in the broth it tends to absorb the broth and it gets mushy. If i cook it separately and add it to the bottom of the bowl before i ladle the hot soup over it then every bowl taste like a fresh pot of soup. I can make a huge pot and eat on it all week that way. Try it that way sometime and see if your soup doesn't reheat better and have a better flavor when you do not eat the whole pot at once.

I heard a weird way of prepareing soup or broth in pressure cooker. Put every ingredient and cold water in pressure cooker, put the lid on, then cap it (I don't know what name that the "cap" should be named exactly), keep everything low and slow, don't boil it(no steaming jets from holes on the cap), a nice clean broth could be prepared this way in 2 hours.
