So great to seeing your th808 review.
By the way, could you give me an advise? Actually, I own the th808 and I am using it with great satisfaction.
And, I watched your Abyss mr review today.
The thing that I would like to ask you is, could you let me know which headphone has more forwarded vocal sound?, especially the mid and high tone of the Rock and Metal genre.
I'm considering to purchase the Abyss MR for my next headphone and your advise will help me a lot.
Thank you.
the diana mr has more forward vocal sound
@@ryanhostudio Thank you for your reply.
If I’m a massive fan of the dark Audeze sound (LCD-2 Classic) do you reckon I’ll like this sound? I’m quite sensitive to sharp highs and sibilants
no you would not since it sounds like your sensitive to treble
I already have a Fostex TH 616. Would the 808 give me something extra?
drivers are noticeably more detailed since they use there higher tesla drivers
@@ryanhostudio thank you
Hey nice review
Is this better than sony mdr z1r?
people are gonna be upset when i say i do because the z1r has a nasty treble stab peak that i cant handle, also the z1r upper midrange isnt very forward so vocals sound more muted, since its a more v shape type of sound
@@ryanhostudio i respect your preference, people are like fanboys nowdays
how will you define z1r vs denon d7200?
@@RX-rd4sc i actually really wanted to buy the denon d7200 when i heard it in japan, it has such a pleasant tuning, theres nice bass, vocal presence with a nice treble. I personally prefer the d7200, the z1r does have good soundstaging capabilities and also looks very premium, but i really just dont like the vocal performance or that treble stab. I also heard the sony mdr mv-1 recently and i think thats my favorite sony headphone
@@ryanhostudio 👍👍👍 you should get denon d7200, and also get the model with 2022 or later production date, they have increased the 15-20% resolution in drivers in latest production units
✌️
so they remade drivers in 2022?
I have an original focal utopia and a he1000 stealth and enjoy them both and have no complaints. Do you think these fostex would be worth picking up as well?
i personally think it sounds more fun than the original focal utopia with its deep subbass and nice vocals. Since you have the he1000 stealth you would probably like the treble emphasis of the fostex th808 as well.
@ryanhostudio I almost exclusively listen to EDM and I value detail and bass more than anything else. Sounds like the fostex bass would appeal to me, but the detail of the utopia probably excites me most. How do the fostex technicalities compare to the sets I have?
i mean i think the he1000 stealth has the best technicalities even better than fostex
@@ryanhostudio Thanks for talking with me! I love your channel and wish you the best!
@@SaloonWrecker I had the TH900 twice and now I ordered the TH808 (with mods) and personally, The TH900/TH909/TH808 are meant for EDM. The Open backs are better at doing vocals.
is it better than Diana MR?
i think more people might like the th808 in the sense that it has more subbass and bass boost, and it has a more mid treble too, but at the same time it has alot more upper treble too so people might not like the aspect of it in respect to tuning. I think the diana mr sounds more open and detailed though but maybe less exciting than the th808
@@ryanhostudio i thought diana mr was kinda known for "relatively" smaller stage for headphones. if the th808 sounds even less open, i'm wondering if IEMs are better since the th808 costs $1.3k
Is Fostex similar to Denon 9200? I heard fostex provide oem drivers for Denon.
denon only make closed back wooden headphones. i think there first series 5000 were oem from fostex but there newer series im not sure for 9200
All of Denon headphones are made by Fostex. Fostex, or Foster Electric who bought them years ago. It just says denon but it is the same company. Source : Spoke to the Importer.
First HiFiMan started cutting prices. Then other Chinese firms started building highly competitive models for amazing prices. Now Japan's Fostex is cutting their prices under the guise of a new model. I think the era of ridiculous pricing is coming to a close. The field is becoming saturated wiith fantastically excellent headphones and electronics.
yeah the price cutting is probably indicator either economy is tighter and more headphone competition!
Looks like Sivga a little bit. I would like cheaper LCD-3.
only thing that sounded like a cheaper lcd-3 is the fiio ft5
Best audiophile, but it's cheaper/worse than TH909 so how it's THE BEST?

ha ha! This guy seems to be in a really good mood! 🎶🎵👍
I can't recommend fostex after mine fell to pieces after about a year and a half after $1000 spend.
yikes
