Gate fold cards are simple to make, in fact, one of my favorite types of handmade cards! This gate fold tutorial shares 3 card design ideas.
What is a gate fold card? A card that opens like a gate - instead of opening from the right to the left, a gate fold opens in the middle. There are a lot of different varieties out there. and today we are going to create an off-center gate fold.
How do you make a gate fold card? They are so easy to make and today I will teach you how you can take this one layout and create different kinds of cards. 2 simple score lines on half sheet of cardstock. Ready to learn?

Love all the cards. I have no problem when someone messes up and then shows what you can do to save the card. We ALL make mistakes. The key is to be able to work around it. Wanted to thank you for the floating card layout from February 3. I made four of them today for valentines cards and was so pleased with how they turned out. I’d had so much trouble lately with getting what I had in my head made. This helped me get my mojo back. Thank you.

I made the first card with brown paper bonded on a dark gold background and a fall print pattern on the fronts. I cut a dark green rectangle with my pinking shears and stamped “Jesus Loves You” on white card stock to place on top. I tied a ribbon of twine. Came out so pretty. I’m really new at this so your videos are really helpful! Thank you

I procrastinated 14 years to have my first "inspection". If anyone out there doesn't like having this procedure, you will hate having colon cancer. I know, I am now 5 years and counting cancer free from stage 3 colon cancer which could have been prevented by having a colonoscopy. But God is gracious. (Watching the replay to make this card ) 😊
It isn't a lot of fun, but worth the piece of mind. I am glad you are well now. Have fun making the card.

I like this offset gatefold better than the usual style. And your boo boos just demonstrated alternative ways of making the cards. I thought the alternatives were great!
