Reviews:
"This show started out a little slow for me, it didn't seem too interesting. But, for me, it definitely got better as it went along.
A notorious family of outlaws, father, Luke Barnes (Ford Rainey) and four sons. Two of the sons are already dead leaving two sons, twins, one, Jud (formerly Homer) who has changed his name, is married to Amelia (Nancy Rennick), who has no idea of his past, and now is a "top hand" for the Cartwrights and one, Rube, who has no guilt when stealing or killing. Both of the sons are played by Ron Hayes. The father seems to love both of them, but with a preference for Rube, most likely because Rube has stayed with him. They have been searching for Homer/Jud and have finally found him.
Rube kills Sol Breckenridge (Joseph Breen) while stealing a horse from his corral, so there is a posse looking for him. Jud tracks them down and confronts them, Rube takes Jud's place in order to steal some more so father and son have some money to live on while Jud is held at gunpoint by his father. Rube wouldn't cooperate with the Deputy Clem Foster (Bing Russell) so is being held in jail while Ben, still thinking he is Jud, talks the deputy into releasing him so he can help Little Joe go pick up an expensive horse. At one point Ben is also being held at gunpoint and tells the father that all a man has for his reputation is the children he leaves behind.
SPOILER: In the end, Luke, the father, has to choose between his sons. he shoots Rube just before Rube is going to shoot Jud. Then he rhetorically asks, "Why would I kill Rube". Ben answers him and says because you want to be remembered well." Written by talonjensen on IMDb.com
"Ron Hayes plays a pair of twin brothers in this Bonanza story. One has moved out west from Kansas and is a line rider for the Ponderosa. The other is a wanted outlaw and rides with his father Ford Rainey.
Bad Hayes steals a horse and shoots the rancher who owned it. The other one happens to run across Rainey who takes him back to their cap and he hears how desperate they are, more so since they are now wanted for murder.
The two twins are polar opposites. The one married to Nancy Rennick is trying so hard to go straight. The other is just a mean evil man.
This episode would rate higher but for a rather unrealistic climax." Written by bkoganbing on IMDb.com

Thanks for posting these episodes. At 65 I am enjoying them even more than I did when Bonanza first came out.
One of the best episodes I've seen! It is great being retired and being 67 years. I get to relive my childhood like I never grew out of it. What a great program filled with valued teaching! "Bonanza"
I feel exactly the same about this show and life!!!
38 here. I didn't grow up on Bonanza, but I've grown into them a few years back, and they've become my favorite show of all time.
They should put bonanza back on free tv so people can watch and maybe learn some morals and values. The world today can do with some
UA-cam is free, and this way I can watch whenever I want.
Man you sure got that right 💕
Wonderful double acting by Ron Hayes. A good plot with considerable suspense. Thanks again Grjngo!
He was a good actor. Believable as a evil good twin.

Every episode is great.
He was a good Pa to his 4 sons, raised 'em good and proper. It wasn't his fault that one of 'em turns bad and gets himself a job and a wife.
I'm in love❤️ with Mr Cartwright 🧐😳🤫
You are so sweet 🤣🤣😍😍 I am sure he will love you too 🥰🥰🥰
@@malbinpan1775
he's dead 😌😔dead can't feel.it but i .feel.it I love him.🤩😍🥰😘😘
Mr Cartwright was a character in the show. He’s not real. He’s fantasy which means he was never alive. Lorne Greene is an actor. Was a real human being. He is dead. You’re in love with a fantasy.
@@samiliatowner5197 love that kind dead man
Yeah I feel ya. Every time I watch Bonanza I always think of Battle Star Galactica. Lorne was as great as Adama as he was as Ben Cartwright. Basically the same kind of role in that Sci fi. In charge of the Galactica as Ben was the Ponderosa. Father of two adult children as Ben was his three grown sons. Same Patriarchal figure of that mighty star Ship as Ben was in his home. Same Ben Adama Cartwright:)
Beautiful series since I was 10year old
You’re right. No one cares.
Ben Matias= Indian Stud
Ben Matias, does your girlfriend look like an Indian beauty queen? Oh wait; there’s no such thing as Indian and beauty
When Homer said, "You couldn't get away with it." Rube, after standing straight, should have said exactly as Homer, "You'll just have to take my word for it."
Home cooked meals wins every day.
People who fail to take responsibility for their own life, think that the world, and especially their relatives owe them something. Yet, people who have learned, seemingly on their own, how to be accountable, take their time learning how to deal with such relatives.
Every episode is fantastic...😊🧡

Yeah
You are welcome, thanks for tuning in! 🤠✌🍿🎬
Out of all the guest appearances Ron Hayes has been on with Bonanza this has to be one of his best appearances, he has the opportunity to one good son, the other evil.
Deputy is Kurt Russell's dad. He acted with Kurt in one of his movies when Kurt was a teenager.
My Brothers keepers is very Emotional
Right prevails all the time that was a wonderful show
The mans chin is on point!!
Bonanza is a very nice film....I was ten or eleven years old...
Their pa is an evil 👿 old man. He said he was always caught between the two of them. Why does he always choose the wrong side? 🙄🙄🙄😲😲😲🤔🤔🤔Ton Hays is a great actor. He plays the role of the evil 👿 twin to perfection. 👌👌👌
Watching from a town in Oregon, called Redmond. Near Bend.

Lorne Green leaves half a beer on the table.....and you call yourself a Canadian!!??...LOL!

Enjoy you alcoholic buns. Nothing comes from Canada. What a joke of a nation. Let British run you again. Please.
Thanks a lot for uploading and sharing this old series.
Best regards luck and health.
Now that was some heavy duty stuff.
What was Ben thinking? He sends a young teenage boy home alone while there is a murderer on the loose!
They were told that they had the killer.
Wow this was 1 of the better, action-packed episodes.

own father pulling a trigger against his own son ! its a funny western world!
Unfortunately a lot of violence is domestic.
In real life you can usually tell twins apart.
They never look exactly the same.
I’m confused by your quantifiers. Usually and never. If you can only usually tell them apart then obviously sometimes they look exactly the same. Or if they never look exactly the same then you can always tell them apart
@@dillantrader6898 Some people are better at distinguishing the small differences than others.
Depends on the person. I've met triplets who were adults and identical. I have also met people who can not tell brothers who were not twins that people could not tell apart.
My sister in law in an identical twin. When she married my brother and her sister who was made of honor walked the isle everyone was confused. It was definitely hard to tell which was which and both had similar mannerism so I could see it being tricky. I met another set of identical twins looked the same the only difference was one child had one crooked tooth but if you didn’t notice the detail you couldn’t tell.
Not in China. Mmmmmmmm
Strangest end to a strange episode.
The best scenario would've been Jud turning his brother in when he had the chance. Barring that, the lesson at the end was worth the frustration.
You rarely see blood when someone gets shot in Bonanza episodes ...
The father was Arthur's friend Mickey in King of Queens.
Ralph is Tris Coffin who was Captain Rynning in 26 Men TV series.
How u live, is how u die, 👍👌😍🥰😘❤❤❤❤⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

that Amelia is one good looking chick
Bit odd taking a shot man to the Cartwright’s, and not the doctor, then the Cartwright posey, and no sign of the sherif.
That isn’t an Arabian stallion hahahahahahahah
Loose lips sink ships
And Cartwrights talking sbout mucho dinero guarantees their being robbed. The script writers used that too dang often.
Horse is a big animal how it can be stolen ? does not make any sense to me ?
@Naveen Pathak LOL
It was in the script.
At night, when it's dark, and you have no soul.
Cars are stolen all the time! They are big. Lots of big things are stolen all the time.
Idiot.
This episode defies logic, sorry.
