Thank you for sharing! May I ask you a few questions regarding the Alibeyköy bus station? Q1: I’m traveling to Türkiye next month and need to take an overnight bus from Istanbul to Crocus City. My ticket mentions "Alibeyköy bus station." Is this the same as "Alibeyköy Cep Otogarı"? Q2: If so, can I take the T5 tram route directly from Eminönü (Spice Bazaar) to this bus station? I wanted to confirm due to the slight name difference. Q3: Do you know if there’s a restaurant at Alibeyköy bus station where I can sit and wait? My bus departs at 00:20. Thank you very much!
Hi. Regarding your questions. Q1: That must be the one. Alibeyköy bus station is one of the intercity bus stations in Istanbul. There is no other in Alibeyköy. Q2: Yes. Q3: You can sit in a cafe. Restaurants will not be open that long. I just googled. For example Bbetter is open at that time. But you can also sit within the bus terminal Have a good trip
Thanks for the valuable information. My flight to Istanbul next week. can I ask you how best to get to sirkeci from Istanbul airport ? I looked at Google Maps, but it's a little confusing .
There are three options 1. Take the bus (Havaist) till Aksaray and then get on the T1 tram line. 2. Take the Metro till Gayrettepe. From there the M2 metro till Taksim. Then the funicular till Kabatas. And lastly the T1 tram line till Sirkeci 3. Take a taxi if you have a lot of luggage
Hi mate. It is not difficult. There are many bus lines going into that direction. Just ask someone where the bus stop is. But if you are coming from the Istanbul Airport, it is much easier if you take the Havaist Bus till Besiktas center. From there, you can walk 10 minutes or take another bus for 2 stops. Besiktas center is also THE place with an amazing atmosphere on match games. Enjoy your stay in Istanbul
Hi Im travelling to London via Istanbul but have long transit I will arrive there at 6pm and wanna visit to place that are famous for food and visit. Can you recommend me how and where to go. Thank in advance😊
Hi, depending on how much time you have, you can visit İstiklal street, Galata Tower (just from outside), Karaköy and Galataport. Check my Top 15 video for further details on these locations. You should reckon with 1.5-2 hours per one way ride from/to the airport. Also check my video on public transportation. And metros usually operate till midnight during the week. Also check time tables for your return. Wish you great time in İstanbul
It would be much better, if you would fly to Sabiha Gökcen Airport on the Asian side. But if you already bought your flight ticket to Istanbul Airport, you have the following options. 1. Take a yellow taxi. This will probably take 45-60 minutes and costs a maximum of 35 Euros 2. Take the Havaist bus number 14. Get off at Yenisahra. Bus takes around 70-80 minutes till Yenisahra. Check the website of Havaist. From there, you need to take a taxi. Taxis are usually waiting at Yenisahra. So in total this will be around 2 hours
Yes, prices based on metered taxis, based on distance and official prices. Two things are important. 1) Driver should always use the meter. This is what they do anyway. Do not try to negotiate a fixed price. 2) Then check yourself on google maps the distance. So you see if driver uses longer than necessary routes
One card should work. But I would still recommend two, since it might take quite some time to swipe 5 times consecutively. If you have two cards, you can do it in parallel. Also note that children under 6 do not have to pay for public transportation. Enjoy your time in Istanbul
What is your preferred option?
Of course metro.
@@56anubis: very good option if you have light luggage
La metro è sotterranea ?
Yes :)
thanks for the clear concise video laying out options clearly. better than these 20 min videos w exact same level of information.
Thanks a lot for your comment
Public transport is amazing and very useful in Istanbul. I would say that it is UNIQUE!
Public transportation is great in Istanbul, indeed
Thanks for the details 👏. I'll be in Istanbul in 4 days. Was going to book VIP pickup, but I'll stick with a yellow taxi to Sultanahmet
Glad it was helpful. Wish you a great time in Istanbul
How was your Istanbul trip?
Thanks for the concise video. I assume the fare for private shuttle is for the vehicle and not per passenger?
Thanks for your comment. Yes, its for the vehicle.
Thank you

Are these metered taxis? BiTaksi and Uber shows TL 1000-1300 fare but what if taxi driver try to overcharge. Any tips to avoid taxi scams?

Thank for very clear informations you give. Is possible to buy and load Istanbulkart with credit card, or cash is needed?
Thanks for your comment. The blue machine accepts credit cards.
Most of the yellow machines also accept credit cards
Hi, Can I use one Istanbul kart for my whole family, (2 adults, 3 children) or will i need a separate Istanbul kart for each person? Thank you
