- After attempting this challenge in all the other Batman Arkham games, I've now continued on to Arkham Knight to answer the question, can you beat Batman Arkham Knight without takedowns?

Takedowns are crucial in all aspects of gameplay in Batman Arkham Knight. The ability to take out a lot of enemies quickly with nothing but a push of a button is something I've always underestimated until this challenge. Without these attacks in my arsenal, Arkham Knight is sure to be extremely difficult, if not impossible.

After seeing other youtubers try these gaming challenges like can you beat Batman Arkham without taking damage, without gliding, without grappling, and without punching and countering, I decided to give these Arkham challenges a go myself. I'm attempting this no takedowns challenge with the entire Batman Arkham series. I've already posted my Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Origins runs, and with Arkham Knight done, this series has come to an end. Go watch my other batman arkham runs to find out if you can beat the Batman Arkham series without using takedowns.

Wanna double kill without takedowns? Ok. Grapple the first enemy than punch him now he’s down for some time now punch the other guy so he can be “unconscious” and then by that type the other dude is up but he’s going down the same way the other guy did.
So uhm I accidentally did type instead of time. SORRY
Yeah I did use that technique quite a lot during this run, but instead of batclawing and punching I would just ultra capestun
I will forever love the GCPD ambush battle. Fighting alongside Barbara even though her spine is broken in half
[10:44] If you don't know by now, if you knock-out any enemies in a Predator Encounter and you die or restart your game, roughly the amount of enemies you knocked-out will be gone.
I actually didnt know that before this run, I'm guessing it's something only in Arkham Knight though because when I tried this in city it didn't work
That only applies to the construction zone and very few predator encounters
Pretty neat idea, never even thought about a no takedown run in the arkham games. Great video and definitely worth a sub. BTW I always knock out the heavy gunners first, great way to minimize damage if spotted and love the terrified reaction of the other thugs seeing the biggest guy out before them
I tend to do that with the minigunners as well, which made this run so annoying for me sometimes since I couldn't take them out quickly with environmental or duel takedowns😂
The first person to be happy about Batmobile taking about 50% game time in a Batman game

Did you know you can easily defeat the big group of thugs in ace before you go to the scarecrow predator encounter by opening the door as they won’t hear it then, get the thug’s attention and go in the Batmobile and run them over
Brooo I totally forgot you could do that! I saw it in one of Gamer4Sight's videos a couple years back. Thank you so much for reminding me, definitely a great tool for future challenges😂
You can do the same in the GCPD assault when you first leave the holding cells
technically 4 wasn't really a takedown because you didnt hit scarecrow nor did you knock him out
I've thought about that but I think I would still count it as a takedown. I went into this challenge with the rule of all button prompts with the word takedown in it would be counted as a takedown, so even though Batman never actually ended up performing the movement I still think it counts

With the combat encounter before you go to the mixing chambers with scarecrow you can actually do it with the Batmobile instead of you just open the door first

year old video but I wanted to let you know that the entire predator section in ACE chemicals is skippable, you don’t need the database to rescue the employees
I also don't think the scarecrow takedown should count yes your only allowed to press the take down button however the takedown fails no matter which scarecrow you chose. So since the takedown fails you shouldn't count that as such. Also try Gotham Knight no takedown GL WITH THAT ONE

I mean side note you can no take down all the rioters with the punches or the batmobile
interesting you only by doing this challenge found out joker takedown are required to pass that section, i noticed pretty much instantly on my 1st blind run, once i noticed that i proceeded to get a huge combo on purpose because i didnt want to progress just yet😂
I actually didn’t know that combo takedowns were so i beat the game the first time on easy and it was extremely hard to beat the game
oh no that must have been a very painful first playthrough😂
I didn't know about quick fire explosive gel when I was younger for arkham city so I had a hard time with grundy

when i first played it the part studios once i died i restarted there was no enemies and i tried to do it again and it didnt work idk why and im still looking for reason why my game did that

id argue what you did for mister freeze was a glitch but i get what you mean nothing major like king
I've done the joke fight you only have to use 1 joker takedown per section the first combat one just takes forever i only learned that you have to kill joker to progress lol

But can you beat arkham using ONLY takedowns? As in every knockout must come from a takedown, not a punch, or gadget.
Man I don't even know how combat would work with that challenge, but definitely sounds fun ngl
You didn’t do any side missions. I wonder how that would've affected things.
I know Pyg and Hush require takedowns. And you fight Croc the same way you fight the Goliath, which requires multiple dual takedowns.
My goal was just to beat the game's main story, hence why I didn't do any side missions. I was debating trying the pyg fight though just to see what happens, maybe something I attempt later on. Also I don't believe you'd have to use a takedown on Hush because I'm pretty sure you use a counter instead of a takedown, although I might be wrong
@@Knerdd You're correct, Hush is a timed counter technically. Croc, Albert King, and Pyg all require takedowns.
