I hope you're giving feedback back to Eufy to help improve their cameras. Keep up the good work! Just caught an intruder in my backyard on my old Eufy flood light cam and gave the footage to police! Love your videos!
Have you done a video where you show how to set-up the NAS storage with Eufy? Might be cool to show for those of us that are confused by the whole Homebase, MicroSD and built-in stroage fiasco they've created.
I wrote to Eufy in early July to ask about recording to the Homebase. I was asking generally about the new lineup, but I specifically mentioned the E40, S40, and the Cam2Pro. Eufy support responded: "... solo camera can't work the homebase now, but they will work with the homebase on September ...".
So does it now work with homebase ? And what would be the benefits ? EDIT to answer my own question after buying it, no it still does not support homebase, and the camera is very bad and im returning it. Regularly misses people coming or going to my house in the day, i live on a busy road where at least a dozen people walk past my drive 20 feet away every night but the camera has never recorded anyone in 5 nights, also activity zones do not work at all and if you enable motion tracking the camera just randomly moves around for no reason and instead of returning to the preset position, it sits looking to the side then misses people walking on the opposite side even though the sensors have detected the person and turned the flood light on. Ive also walked and stood right infront of the camera and waved and it hasn't recored, this is all just very random it works perfect one minute then the next it doesn't. It also wont record if it has recently finished recording something, i came home yesterday and the camera recorded me but didn't record a delivery drive coming or going 1 minute later. Such a shame because the design, picture quality and flood light are fantastic
@@martiangod I luv my Eufy S40 Solo cams. They work Excellent" an stay at 99-100% battery percentage. An it Doesn't have Any of the issues you mentioned. Obviously you must have a defective camera. Contact Eufy.
The cam 2 pro would be perfect in a location like your patio, but it wouldn't be fully utilized if it was in front of your garage. So it would depend on what location you would put the cam 2 pro. Both are nice cameras, but it would be a waste if you couldn't get the 360 degree protection if it was mounted on a wall. With the right placement, the cam 2 pro would be a clear winner. Thanks again!
@@thecliff4838 Very impressive! It must be at the right height to view back into the garage. Most folks would have a light maybe a foot or two feet above the garage opening blocking the camera from looking back. If yours can look back you got extra protection from garage thieves. You hit a home run with this camera.
I have a fixed camera above my garage now and there are many blind spots. It cannot see my porch, straight down or to the right. I ordered the Eufy 360 degrees to be able to see everything without the blind spots. It would probably be more useful on the corner of a house so it could see the front and side, but I do not want to deal with the wiring there at the moment.
I discovered you today looking for security camera reviews! I enjoy your multiple test techniques! I think we might go with the Eufy 360 Pro for our driveway.
PTZ Is the choice here unless you dont like being tracked.. you could turn it off for parties and such.. but turn it on at night or when you are away.. I ill go with PTZ 2k !
After your review i purchased the cam 2 pro and its soo unreliable i have to return it, not something im interested in but ot still does not support homebase, regularly misses people coming or going to my house in the day, i live on a busy road where at least a dozen people walk past my drive 20 feet away every night but the camera has never recorded anyone in 5 nights, also activity zones do not work at all and if you enable motion tracking the camera just randomly moves around for no reason and instead of returning to the preset position, sometimes it sits looking to the side then misses people walking on the opposite side even though the sensors have detected the person and turned the flood light on. i bought the eufy floodlight pro 2 on the basis of this and two other vid reviews and am a bit annoyed my camera is not working - it films everything except what is within the set activity zones the lense has no protection from rain drops and the support is way too close to the wall which means the light shines on the wall and the night vision doesn ot work - there is a setting to switch this off which maye explain why the floodlight does not work .. for me ... works now and then for everyone else though - was even on during the day - set to fast the Eufy pro need a much longer neck to take the camera off the wall or a bracket to attach the kit to Support is rubbish - tech will get back to you - tech says lower the camera Keeping me in frame? joke - I was actually grinding off my gate - you can hear it on the vid but the camera is fixed firmly to an empty spot on the driveway the next clip shows me halfway up the drive with the gate and then goes back to watching the wall or driveway - its favourite positions when not filming neighbours driving around and walking everywhere except in my driveway / garden And no they will not pay the cost of the re installation if the camera still does not work after i pay for the camera to be moved And no they will not replace the camera if not fixed by reducing height, Neither will they refund the cost of camera if it turns out the camera is not built for narrow driveways on gable end which is perhaps 45% or more of sales? Which I think means that Eufy will not honour any warranty
Questions: 1. Does it record to the cloud or where? 2. Can I manually view the camera or do I have to wait for motion? Exaple: I hear a sound at night and I want to look out the cameras to get a better view. Can I do this. 3. If power goes out or if wifi goes out will the camera automatically reconnect once the power or wifi comes back on? 4. Is there ANY reason anyone would have to take the camera down and rest anything at all? 5. Is their two way voice? 6. Can the app be used on a desktop as well as on the smart phone? It's easier to view the videos on a larger screen. 7. I am looking for a no fuss camera to replace my Arlo cameras that require me to get on a tall ladder to replace batteries or to reset the wifi connection when power or wifi is off momentarily and turns back on. I fell from the ladder once doing this. I don't want to risk falling again.
Great content. I saw that google released some new cameras. Will we see you put them through your tests soon? Also, have you tried or plan to try/review any of the netatmo cameras?
Love your videos! Like you my choice of an alarm is Ring but in the event of an internet outage the Ring cameras are useless so I have other cameras from different brands that record locally to an SD card regardless of WiFi and I like to review the 'down' times off the SD cards on my other cameras to make sure I did miss anything which is a nice option! Never keep all your eggs in one basket!
Just learning about these, so please bare with me. One question I have is can use these cameras with multiple devices by downloading the app. I would like to be able use my and my wife’s phones and iPads.
Is the tracking reliable? I might get one is better the ring? And sorry i did not mean it like i meant did you. Check out the camera you don’t have to buy it just asking.
I have the 2K and I HATE that it doesn’t work with the Eufy Homebase! It won’t allow me to automate it within the eufy security app ‘I body should buy a Eufy Floodlight
If I already have 2 x Eufycam 2 Pro cameras (+ HomeBase 2), should I just add two more of the same cameras or consider adding these floodlights? The appeal of the floodlights is that I could connect them to the power my existing, old lights are using. But the floodlights still aren’t HomeBase 2 compatible nor HomeKit correct? (Although, I’m not using HomeKit for my 2 Pro cameras so not a huge deal). What would you suggest?
Good day from Mexico, what outdoor surveillance video camera, without cables, battery and / or solar would you recommend? I'm looking for which would be the best
Concerning the 2 pro; what if you have this on an overhead eve or whatever, and it's night time. Say someone walks behind the unit in an area where the lights are not pointed; are they still being captured with night vision since the light isnt hitting them?
I bought the 2K before seeing this video, but I think I will stay with it. My question to anyone, can I add more cameras, or will that all be on a different app, or link on my phone, I
Eufy really needs to make their product lines more integrated, or at least make their automation better. I just want to automatically arm/disarm my pan and tilt when my alarm system status changes via Alexa Routine. I even have a base station ready if they allow arming/disarming pan and tilt when base station changes mode. However, they don't seem to care at all.
Please, for the love of sanity 😊 please include meters in ur videos. Even if it's written in small letters down below somewhere. Save my lazyness from stopping the video and google the measurements 😂 Hello from Australia.
Hi sir. Just a quick question, for those who have a base station eufy will the data still be stored if ever a culprit plan to shut off the power of your home like cutting the main line or shutting off the main breaker? Thanks in advance for the respond.
That camera is garbage. After the camera did a software upgrade the new software make the camera unusable. Lose connection, no picture. I had to but buy a different camera after I paid 300$. STAY AWAY FROM THAT COMPANY PRODUCT.

That is a great suggestion for an integration of all eufy security camera and storage station products.

dumb question - what's the benefit of working with homebase? would it allow for 24/7 recording?

Lack of NAS recording is the only thing stopping me buying the 2K, not sure about this 2 Pro
Lack of home base save option is pulling me away

the Eufy pro need a much longer neck to take the camera off the wall or a bracket to attach the kit to
Support is rubbish - tech will get back to you - tech says lower the camera
Keeping me in frame? joke - I was actually grinding off my gate - you can hear it on the vid but the camera is fixed firmly to an empty spot on the driveway
the next clip shows me halfway up the drive with the gate and then goes back to watching the wall or driveway - its favourite positions when not filming neighbours driving around and walking everywhere except in my driveway / garden
And no they will not pay the cost of the re installation if the camera still does not work after i pay for the camera to be moved
And no they will not replace the camera if not fixed by reducing height,

Hi there try the Reolink power over E (POE) cameras which can record to a NVR ..network video recorder. That may be the solution. Stay safe 🤙🏾
Do most people just keep their exterior lights on all the time after installing this or does it have a battery if some sort?
