They not only need ro adjust the amount of XP needed to level up but they also need to adjust the resource cost for leveling gear.
And the amount of anomaly extract you get for breaking down gear
Nah anyone can do trials it's not hard you can pause a run you grt most best loot and a lot of upgrade materials

Agreed, the cost of leveling gear is pretty insane,
They def need to rework the anomaly dropped but the xp gain I don't mind if you cap out quickly there's not much left to do as the endgame in this game is the xp grind. If you cap out players get bored and will stop playing.
This is my thing with games like this where you have a grind to get stronger yet your getting stronger for the same content… it’s like all 40 apocalypse tiers are the same thing nothing changes… it would of been nice to have like content unlock behind tiers like you grind to 10 unlocks more content new enemies and new modifiers you grind to 20 unlocks more content new area weapons loot etc.. 30 same thing then 40 you finally reach end game boss fights you never seen before and you need to be that high to even take them on.. essentially the game
Made sense when you get so strong and you had time trials. On max tier 15 your goal was to push build to fastest time clear possible. Just seems like they could have staged the progression better..

I already beat it numerous times. Who cares what level i am. Nothing is going to change. I experienced everything the end game has to offer. Hard to get excited for the grind.
Assuming you start a Tarya run with the extra boss. The fastest exp farm would be the four bosses with an Arboretum pit stop along the way, followed by lobby refreshing the final Arbiter... right? Doing that as a whole cycle, granted the extra running needed is annoying, might not be a bad idea. Maybe a test on what that run would net in comparison?

Only thing extra from this that I'd like to see, is the spreadsheet itself and the loadout. Im running a techno that can mob quickly, but has issues with single target bosses (enemies in proximity of eachother cause a damage feedback loop that melts everything including bosses).

The Arboretum is popular because with a certain join/leave trick, people of lower tier can get insta Apoc tier boosts when a higher tier player hosts.
I will say this, compared to every farming spot listed; Eye of the storm is the only method shown where I can see my Apocalypse bar grow substantially the longer I farm.
I've farmed most of the locations listed, and infinitely farming that expedition for just an hour has netted me quicker apocalypse tier progress then any other location I've tried.
The major downsides to this farm, are the lack of Apoch drops for anomaly extract, and you are going to have to commit at least thirty minutes to an hour to farming Eye of the storm before you really start to see the Apocalypse bar grow to a noticable degree.

This video is about ascension level experience. I wish it was about Apoc experience since the power gain from ascension points isn't even noticeable if you are using a powerful build with the right mods. The Apoc level grind is the real time killer
@@la7era1u54 Not to worry friend, The Eye of the storm farm lvls up ascension rank as well. Now, whether or not that farm is better than any of the other locations mentioned in regards to strictly ascension rank; I've yet to personally test.
With my last farm being only thirty minutes, I raked in somewhere around 5.4 million ascension XP a sizable chunk of Apoch growth at tier 33.

In my opinion (build dependent), once you get to 100ish Ascension points, the remaining 100 points are not so impactful.
I think focusing on apocalypse tier exp should be the primary focus at that point. You don't lose ascension exp when you die but apocalypses tier exp takes a painful hit on death. Nobody seems to talk about that.
It was interesting to me, that you didn't value Daughters sanctuary for Ascension exp but from my testing that boss in there give a nice chunk of apocalypse exp. I use up all my attempts on the first Arbiter and then head to daughters sanctuary for that boss and his apoc exp.
Back to the ascension discussion - imo the Dunes beast quest Hauras is very lucrative. It can be done brain dead if on a boring zoom call and is great for resources... and worth tabulating for the exp per hour gain.
...I should add. regarding the beat quest Hauras. Drop down one apoc level so that you dont lose any apoc exp. Kill the 2 beasts and let everything else kill you, then repeat.
Hauras farm needs you to get killed to respawn in the boss area, but turret techno is literally god-mode. It's a bit annoying to wait till your turrents went off. But you are right, it's not a bad spot.
The arena gives a good amount of XP if you have the Shaman encounter since there’s so many elites/bosses.
Yeah done a 6 hour session today, best way is do the catacombs then take the further away path with the monsters, then do the artobelm after that first boss then straight through to second boss then to last boss, farm him.
Thats the quickest way.
When I was killing the boss I was getting 500k on level 35 and 700k on level 38 each time.
I think you can get at least 5 millions xp on a run. Will post my runs tomorrow along with the drops for each section.
The problem for me is …. The amount of time you have to put into leveling up just isn’t on par with the amount of content, I just don’t have the attention span to CONSTANTLY do these same missions over and over. Especially for cannonball boots and trigger twitch trousers 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

Hi, great vid as always, not what it costs in thUS but in the UK Worldslayer DLC is about 40 pounds (roughly 50 bucks), I think it’s a bit too much, can’t afford so have to wait til hopefully it drops to 20 bucks, I’m enjoying the vanilla tho almost finished 🎉

easiest class (and laziest) class in the game. Turrets are decoys and damage dealers. Pretty much the only class that uses a gun!

I am trying to mimick your techno build but i just don't have the gear for it...
On my characters I would run through the story on a very low world tier so things die really fast and then I grind out the world/apoc tier once I'm at max level. However, this was with characters that I was rushing to end game with, so If you want to enjoy a challenge leveling up then this is not the way to go
They need to fix the loot system! We really need either an auto dismantle for Epic and below rarity, or they need to remove non Apoc Epics from the game at Apoc tier 40. Looking at your inventory to dismantle junk more than playing the game is tedious as hell!
Have you noticed after you kill Arbiter of Decent hit Go Back to lobby then continue . Spawn before you enter his room . . repeating this allows you do it 4 times .
Will XP you get matter if you lower the apocalypse tier in the expeditions? Also the items you get? I'm still in apocalypse tier 4 and world tier 12 using my Trickster...only one of my gear is apocalypse .

I just play the game normally with limited time and I play four characters. Not in a hurry to get to the highest level to just not play the game. I just enjoy the journey and I will eventually get there.

Stargrave over colosseum? Is that because of add density or "difficulty" I always thought colosseum was ranked higher in terms of difficulty (never tested these that was just my impression)
I was hoping the last update didn't 'update the fun' out of it for me, but it did. The change to drops was the straw. I'm mainly farming for mats to upgrade my current gear, which isn't tweaked to perfection but still melting the bosses. So, what's the point now? Meaning, if all I have to do is maintain mats to keep the current gear until AT40 then what am I really doing. The shear amount of non-Apoc epics that drop in a Trials run is absurd at my level. It shouldn't even be a thing. That said, thank you LtBuzz, you're doing great work here for the Outriders community.
So, I have done that, got to 40 and nothing changes. If you manage to keep up with the gear the clear times don't change either. So yeah spot on, no point in carrying on.
How does the Apocalypse xp work? Is it based on kills or Xp?
My biggest problem (other than XP gains being frankly shit across the board pidgeonholing us into farming the arbiter even more) is that Ascension levels themselves aren't the real grind and actually have a finite cap.
I don't think anyone's hit that cap yet but it is a little discouraging that we can't just endlessly farm Ascension levels for more power the way you can in other looters (Namely Diablo 3 and Wonderlands - Division 2 caps SHD levels but now has Expertise)
Hey Buzz , you mention on 3:15 that opening the loot chest in the Arboretum will make it impossible to farm that room, but I have been doing that for a while 😅😅
When I open the chest , then go to Lobby and just Continue it spawns me right in front of Arboretum , same as in doing it with the Arbiter.
Its a common farming place
also the Eye infinite farm was by far the best for me,
because you dont have to load in and out and can stay there for like an hour flat.
But its also very boring to farm , lol

@@richardaitkenhead heya man, the Eye of the Storm infinite farm is for Ascension XP.
You basically start the expo and activate the totems so the enemies start to spawn, then just stay outside the totem circle and they will spawn infinitely.
Usually the best position is by the entrance into the expo.
More enemies killed means more XP so basically you can stay there as long as you want and get tons of XP,
then when you wanna finish you just complete the expo as normal.

I think my main question is whether or not I should be as annoyed as I am with Worldslayer’s introduction of Apocalypse Tiers/Loot and the fact that I’m STILL seeing Blue weapon/gear drops.
Don’t get me wrong, I understand it’s a “looter shooter” and “the grind”; and I’m NOT asking for “constant legendary, apocalypse tier 3 mod” weapons and gear…
I AM asking for PCF to consider emptying that shit out of the loot pool after let’s say…. Apocalypse Tier 10?
Maybe then I wouldn’t want to chuck my girl’s dog at the TV every 15 mins… 😬
The best thing to do is play a turret techno build. Get him to apoc 23-25.. Which will be easier than any other class. When there he should have most tier 3 mods which you can transfer to other alts through the stash by putting whatever you need on junk blue/purp items.
They also seriously wrecked the loot with that recent patch.. and I don't know but my characters feel not as good but who knows what they did.
Theres also another trick if you dump purples into stash and boost a new guy to 30, you can break down the junk stash items for resources and convert to pod resources and buy the 2 mod legendary gear set you need to help power the new character faster, and if you have the tier 3 mods set on the techno, you can transfer the mods easily and build your guy up faster. Also, they should have called the expansion Anomaly.. because the best builds are all anomaly power based.
There are tons of little tricks you can do. Playing this game straight up like I am sure the devs intended is super grindy and would most likely cause boredom to set in much faster or ruin your t.v/dog lol..

So allow me to correct that… My friends and I are among the few that have been playing Outriders since the beta/launch (taking breaks here and there). Furthermore, we have completed the “OG Outriders Campaign” annnnnd an embarrassingly large amount of Expeditions…
Which basically means we were HOPING, when Worldslayer launched and introduced these new mechanics/new “Ooooh Shinies”; that our “OG Fully Leveled Characters” would be ready to hop in and well… “Slay”… But that hope was very quickly “FAAAAAAYSERRRR NOPED!”, courtesy of PCF and their BS Loot-pool…
All that being said… Thank you for your response, I’m sure that it will be of tremendous help to any newer players who choose to read through my “original rant” above… 😂
I think it is is worth trying to replay the Worldslayer story. It is more entertaining the repetitive boss farming and I think you get the mission rewards. Not much in terms of gear of resources but it is fun and quickly done with a decent build.
50% of the campaign is walking....Boring.
For quick loot farm and resources the dunes is it about 15k drop pods every 30 seconds, and I was able to find gloves and boots I needed... the reason I was there in the first place... test that for 15 min...
I go there every few days and farm the Behemoth bosses, but will try it on a 15 minute test. 👍
buzz I noticed that the final boss in trials once you beat him then try to farm him again you get dropped back one tier and stay locked is there a work around for that? or is that the change they implemented on the last patch..

Hey mate, there was a farming spot for xp to get to tier 15 pre exp. you spoke to a bloke next to a rock and did a side mission. You kill one of those vampire bastards at the end of the mission and then meet the mysterious guy as he touches a rock. Did you test that one?
When I first read your comment I thought that it would be impossible to figure out what you were talking about with such a vague description, a vampire what?
... but then I remembered that I have completed that one once. It was in a forest area, quite possibly the forest enclave.
Hi Buzz, at 5:25 you mention that you run a 3.5 minute Okriel clear. How do you do that? I run a turret build similar to yours that lets me soak pretty much every Okriel shot, and I very rarely leave the obelisk circles, but the best I've gotten (this morning) was 6.5 minutes. Im on Apoc Tier 23 if that matters, but I just can't burn through those circles any faster. I wish I could due to hating the Okriel fight so much (it seems to be very polarizing amongst the playerbase).
The key is to maximize your damage versus Okriel when he is vulnerable.
@@LtBuzzLitebeer Thats the part i dont have any trouble with. His weak phases only last for about 10 seconds each. Its the shrines that take me a while. I play solo. Do the shrines burn faster with others in the party?

You can’t let enemies stand on the circle. Make sure you’re killing everything right away that get close
Honestly I've given up on Outriders and the horrible grind fest that it has become. I don't have the free time available anymore to play enough to get the gear and xp needed to advance my character. There is just too much loot that can drop reducing the chances of getting something usefull for your character. And with only being able to replace 1 mod on a piece of gear it makes it even more unlikely that the gear you get to drop is worthless.
Problem is the loot drops are so bad, I haven't been able to put together a build that can clear the trials anywhere close to the times you achieve. I can't even finish some of the trials without dying! 😢 Really hope they do something about the loot.
Start a fresh lvl 30 char, send him higher level items to dismantle, use titanium to get drop pod resources, buy any legendary set you need then level it

How do you know how much XP that you have received ?
You should try the final boss encounter in the worldslayer campaign between the area before her and killing her I get almost 1.4 million xp at apoc 40 and can finish and restart it in under 2 minutes on Pyro. Plus lots of gear drops from all the elites in the first area. After I kill her I just return to lobby. I don't do the kill animation on her.
Do you think it would be a fast way to gain Apoc experience too? I'm at Apoc 33 and it's starting to take a ton of trials runs to level up and it's burning me out doing the same 6 or 8 rooms over and over and over.....and over
@@la7era1u54 it's the fastest way that I found. As long as you can clear the first area and kill the boss fast it's super quick.
@@Ivyxaps5 I run an eruption build that clears whole rooms of trash/elites and any boss, including the last arbiter, in 1 skill rotation that takes less than 10 seconds, so it should be a cake walk. I'm at apoc 34 now with a fresh bar to test it out
for me, anomaly extract is the big problem, my gear is constantly 3-4 levels under cos I just can't earn enough to keep up.
Once you get to Apoc level 31 and up you will start to have it accumulate in your bags because the amount of runs/time it takes to get to the next Apoc level is increased drastically. I remember level 31 took me 4 times longer to complete than level 29
@@la7era1u54 I'm apoc 26 just now. What you said actually puts me off playing tbh. Leveling already takes way too long. The thought of taking 4x longer, or more, each level does not sound like fun.
How about short runs on the whole tarya gratar?
For some, it comes down to variety. Doing the same thing on 3-4 tile sets gets dull pretty fast for me. And seeing how I'd have to literally do this for over 500 times from level 30 to level 70 (not even 90) is...well, I'd rather just not do that as a solo player. edit: I got all the mods and gear by level ~45. What is the point of continuing to do this? They need to make more maps/expeditions/whatever. Compared to Division 2, Outriders is like

Okriel should NOT be included in any kind of XP farm, there is a “one shot” death bug that is associated with the boss that has NOT been figured out by anyone yet!! Yes you have to go thru the area on the way to final boss but it should definitely not be farmed!! At least until someone figures out how to avoid the bug??
It's not a bug lol. If you stand outside of the circles for too long he charges up an attack that one shots you. It's called Obliteration. You can see him charging it up every time you're outside of the circles. Lmao

Poeople are bored to see millions of builds, they may never get the gear for. It's not easy to make content for Outriders these days.
We all know the flaws of the dlc, to discuss them would'nt be good for the mood.
But what's left to do? Grinding the grind so people have to grind less? You deserve better...
Same for Full Measure and the guy who will pull out the update for Outriders Outpost... so much work and effort for a meager 5k players. It's a shame...

My turret build has two freeze turret, 1 blighted turret and cold snap...very easy kills even final boss...now ascension 45..
I’m at the point where my build is very strong so all I need to do is raise my tier, it takes so long and it very boring. Takes like 4 tiers for the game to be difficult again but that just takes so long so it’s hard to stay invested

Wait until they fix the XP grind and the loot. Buzz’s videos are great, but he can’t change the rough shape the game is in presently. It will be better later.
I tried this grinding and find it the laziest, drawn out mess I’ve played yet. I don’t see how anyone levels all 4 characters and get the loot desired within a year even playing 3 hours a day on the same map.
I’m finding a free legit modder and I’m maxing out or checking out because I’m burnt out.
Ya it really needs procedural generation. Arcadegeddon has tons of replayability, Outriders should be able to do the same. They've done most things right, just need some variety.
I don’t blame you unfortunately, loot drops are complete dog water in this game. Targeted loot and dedicated drops from games like borderlands and the division puts outriders’ loot system to shame. There’s too much restriction in gear customization, and the grind is too artificial. Beefy enemies and minor incremental loot increases with expensive upgrade costs paired with certain materials hardly dropping compared to other materials just makes this all feel like a hamster wheel of a video game. I’m apoc 36 right now, and my clear time is almost identical to how it was when I was apoc 20. Gear drops are basically the same. I’m close to dropping the game as I have no intention to continue this grind on the other characters, it intimidates me actually LOL
it's the XP for the Apocalyptic teirs seems ridiculous. without getting pulled through. At level 31 my bar is filling up about an 8th. are these going to be 500 hour grinds per character? It's far far too bad..... People will stop playing
Thanks buzz I didn't know that the xp dropped if u try to farm the areas in trials. It doesn't make sense to me they made the xp grind hard n u get penalized for farming trials smh
After I watched this video I just had to try as the EOS seemed to be faster to me. It is faster. I made 10mil xp on T37 in 40 min while I did the same 10 mil but 45 min doing every atempt on the Boss running the fastest route. I guess EOS is as fast as you can kill them as they spawn faster when you kill them faster. If I just used my turrets the xp was coming a whole lot slower then when I was actively killing them.

I tested it and Tarya-->Masoleum-->Arboretum->Return to Lobby->Arboretum->Return to Lobby-->Arboreturm-->give more XPs and it is less boring.
I don't even understand why people would care about grinding to get up in level just to have nothing to do but the same crap that got you there in the first place.
I really hate needing more and more XP at 30+ apoc. It gets ridiculous. I’m apoc 34 and it just grinds to a halt.

I’m already burnt out. The games original campaign is useles to play as you don’t get much, if any, anomaly extract and so you can’t level up gear. I don’t want to be stuck playing the same small portion of the game over and over.
The problem is your grinding to level up for no purpose at all lol that's why things like this don't last at all

Ugh this gameplay is the prime example of how wrong PCF was to make AP builds just flat out best.
I also have a full-blown FP Techno as well.
This new grind has just ended my interest in playing outriders and its mostly due to the fact I can't get gear to drop. My techno was op as all get out and now I can't even make it to the final trials boss. So I farmed the areas I could thinking I'd go until I got some of the gear for these new sets ppl are using. I can't even get gear to replace my current gear. On my dev I was able to get through all of trials, but same problem. I either can't get new gear to drop to replace my current or I dont have to resources to upgrade my current gear to keep up. Im not even being that picky. An apoc piece that i can use is all im looking for and I can't even replace the legendaries cause they don't drop for me either just the crap non class specific ones and the helms. I wouldn't mind the grind if I could get the gear or the resources to make it fun again
What helped me here was two things: farm the first Arbiter and forget the rest. And join a Discord with people happy to help you farm. Buzz has one with a decent community.
@@Xariann unfortunately with the techno all i can do is the 1st arbiter. i've farmed it for hours with nothing worth while to show for it. with the dev I go all the way through no problem, but in both cases the loot drops are so poor it just deflates my whole willingness to play and now since i can't get loot and i can't get enough resources I have to farm old content to even think about keeping my lvl up and i'm just not interested in that

Feels like they nerfed drops. All across the board. Getting 1 exotic per room in trials, and some room's drop just purps. Shit is ass
And expeditions drop blues. The loot in a loot grind game is one of the worst I've played

Drop rates are terrible, have like 100hrs in and yet legendary armors like for pants,boots,top,helmet, only have like 11 out of 27, boots only have like 7. Where is the rest?
Legos I have, it's the Epic pieces that slow me down.
Just use a trainer or wemod and max your stats
Thats a joke throttling the xp so the best thing to do is just run the trial only killing the bosses... just what they wanted us not to do lol

@@LtBuzzLitebeer that's what my plan, I found if I run solo I can through a lot faster, but then the double loot trick doesn't work, it only works when in a group, I will need 50k anomaly things to upgrade my stuff when I finally hit level 36 it's seems like it's taking forever.
The correct answer is simple. Play the damn game in whatever way you find fun and you will get there. Kids these days. When will they learn that nothing worth doing is instant? If you don't have 16 hours a day to sit on your ass and play video games, that's okay. Most people don't.
I ran a game with some one on pc I’m on PlayStation we played a few games he was carrying until I started one shoting elites checked my weapon and my pistols were modified by him fp is -10000000000000 never seen that guy again and never used the weapon because it just defeats the purpose. The point of this is why do people do that?
The DLC was just a money grab. Sold out long term fans, which I am. First game that interested me to play all hero types, but the DLC is such a big let down
The best farm is eye of the storm activating the pillers but not finishing them and killing the adds infinitely....your welcome
What do you mean, if you don't count down the pillers do the monsters keep spawning ?

Boi the crying in the comments about grinding. I mean it always a complaint. It seems game players are getting more lazy. But we’re not going to talk about the cheaters, and modded players in the game though. It’s seems they can’t win for losing. Yup the players complaining will be the death of the game. Oooooh because the game isn’t made for ADHD players and the attention span required to play DONT suit you, so complain? Just go to another game like always, and complain about the grind there.

PCF did a lot of things right but the game is a confused mess in terms of progression. And LA7ERA1U5 is right, there is a difference. Time investment from players is a natural byproduct of them enjoying playing the game to begin with. Grind added for the sake of adding grind is bad design. I have thousands of hours in FFXIV and I'm still not tired of it so I keep paying a subscription and (if life permits it) playing it, but that game is so packed full of content that even if you're max level and BiS you still find things to do.
My opinion is outriders has two main problems.
1. Lack of content diversity.
2. Apoc tier exp grind is pointless. Gear level should by itself be a good enough soft lock to prevent players from jumping straight to apoc tier 40 content. Instead PCF thought it would be a good idea to force players to re-clear content on the same difficulty they've already cleared it on multiple times. Why?
I get the grind on ascension levels as that's something like a paragon system in d3, except its capped. And I get the loot grind as well, though I do think they need to think a bit more about how that system functions.
If you enjoy outriders as is, more power to you and I wish you many more happy hours playing it.
Only thing I would ask is that in future rather than gaslighting people raising a concern you disagree with, try to understand where its coming from first.

When this game is dead lately…
This game is BORING. OMG. Its so bad I just stopped at Teir 38. its POINTLESS. Think about it... Its just the same 6-7 zones over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over - to the point you have memorized the EXACT locations of every mob in each zone. Seriously, they need some PVP or something like a HORDE mode from gears of war. This game will be dead again by the end of August.
Why are you giving info due to the fact you are lvl32 not even lvl40 HAHAHA.
It's not daunting at all just need to grind that's it. As per youtubers trying to think they are the best at this game.
