Hello everyone! Today I am sharing with you what I have packed in my hospital bag. I took a minimalist approach to packing my hospital bag, and decided to only pack what I think I would really need. A lot of “What’s in my Hospital Bag” videos on UA-cam include a lot of excess items that I don’t think I will need - however if you think I am missing something important in my hospital bag please let me know! I also see other hospital bag videos and I just think ugh what a chore! I personally plan on packing my stuff and my husbands stuff in a carry on. And packing a swaddle, pacified and going home outfit in the diaper bag. That’s all I need! Lol if for whatever reason we end up staying longer than the standard 2 days I’ll just have my husband or relative get it from my house. I can’t imagine being in pain and worrying about all the extra stuff we need to carry around.

I was forgetting a big jar or hand sanitizer! For guests and even youself, there should be hand sanitizer in your room but sometimes nurses give you an ugly stare and I want to provide visitors with sanitizer.

Chapstick and hair ties are a must. I think you definitely have the right idea. You really dont need a ton of stuff. Also dont forget to grab chargers for phone and cameras!❤

Some people are just over packers. It’s okay. I’d be pretty minimal as well.
My water broke at 36 weeks and doctor said to come over asap. So I threw a onesie in my purse and left. We didn't even have the car seat set up. This time I will definitely be packing more
I wod take nipple shields! No one ever told me about nipple shields, first nurse your baby without them then when you start feeling soreness use them! They were a lofe saver but I had my husband buy me some once we were home. Unfortunately my nipples were already cracked and bloody.
your bag is defthe best bag ive seen. as a mom on her 2nd pregnancy, the other hospital bags ive seen are literally way over the top
Im on kid 3 and i pack
1 toothbrush/paste
2 my pillow
3 charger
4 coin for vend machine
5 flip flops 4 shower
6 sweats/top/undies
7 slippers
8 babys outfits x2
9 boppy
10 dads clothing
My hosp provides diapers, wipes, onesies, hats, burp rags, swaddles, mommy diapers, bath supply, formula
Forgot hair brush/ties :) lol
I'm a First time mom and that's all i have packed also 😊

I hope my post isn't overwhelming, I'll try to keep it simple. Bring your nursing or pregnancy pillow! Either or is fine. I used my pregnancy pillow as a nursing prop & also, folded, it was great as a lounger for the baby.
I personally brought depends for the postpartum bleeding. Not sexy lol, but so comfortable, easy, & no worry about bleeding outside the pad. And bonus, they're disposable!! I ended up having an emergency c section & although I didn't have a ton of bleeding, they were helpful because they were soft & didn't irritate the incision. Plus I couldn't even bend over so it was easier for my husband to help me put on.
I went minimal on my packing as well, but ended up having to stay a week because my son had a blood sugar issue. So having had to stay longer & packing light -- my advice would be to throw in a couple extra pair of undies & nursing tanks. I pretty much lived in leggings, nursing tanks, a robe that week!!

I have been trying to pack my bag too so this was super helpful! A lot of people said to bring a big insulated water bottle like the ones with a straw so you don’t have to keep refilling the little hospital cups and you can easily stay hydrated

I'm 80% effaced and 1 cm dilated at 34 weeks 😳 which means its gonna happen soon (hopefully not to soon! We need baby to cook a lil longer!)

Hello!! Super cute video:) I have one also if you want to see!! Something I brought that was VERY useful was a folder to hold all the paperwork they will give you! And sandals for shower, and snacks! Oh and a nippy pillow!

My period was heavy with my first 2 kids good thing I took some tight boy shorts along with some high waisted bike shorts helped tremendously

Love the minimalistic approach ..so much more stress free....I would recommend a towl ...not too big but just to dry yourself off.with my first I didnt take one and felt so icky after using the hospital one ( i alsp took forever to dry off...with my second it just made me feel more comfortable and clean.

Just watched your video and love the baby clothes you packed. Good call on the lotion, I was going to suggest it had you not packed it. Being massaged with lotion helps a lot! Things I think you missed are definitely hair elastics, trust me girl you NEED THEM LOL. Also like others mentioned, chapstick will be your best friend. I would suggest bringing your own maxipads, the ones the hospitals have are massive/super thick and are uncomfortable. The hospital will probably provide a sitz bath and peri bottle...if not you NEED both. One thing for baby drew that most hospitals dont provide are baby mittens. They protect the baby from scratching itself in the face. Their nails are fine and sharp. Other than that you're good to go in my opinion! Good luck girl! You got this!

I actually had a friend that only brought like a cute newborn outfit to bring baby home in but she ended up have a 9 almost 10 pound baby and he didn’t fit into the outfit. 😂.
Almost there Faith! I wish you all the best. I remember my hair felt pretty filthy after labor and all I wanted was to wash them. It might be a good idea to have one of those mini hairdryers on hand!
Did you forget deodorant? Not sure if I missed it or if you forgot. Very common to be sweaty a few days postpartum from the huge hormonal shift your body will go through.
I remember for my first one I was super extra with packing my hospital bag lol but the 4th child I just took a change of clothes and my hygiene products lol

I love this! You look adorable! A video later could be what I used and didn’t used in my hospital bag!! I packed cheap sandals I could shower in just because I am weird about showers others have used 🙈 I also loved protein bars for snacking after and for my husband and chapstick!!! You did a great job packing!!!🤗😍

The hospital gives you huge pads(you going to bleed a lot 🤷♀️) and huge underwear , bring your own postpartum underwear if u like.. good choices in your bag , you dont need much u only there 2-3 days . Good Luck! 🍀

Little Me is one of my FAVORITE baby brands 😍 they have such soft and sweet pieces! I would definitely recommend that you take a boppy pillow or some sort of nursing pillow since you plan on breastfeeding. I would also recommend that you take a pillow for yourself just to make yourself feel more comfortable at "at home" in the room ❤❤
