    One thing you should still learn is the mechanics with fallen trees. The transparency mechanic works based on your distance to the fallen tree, but spotting and camo mechanics work based on distances separately, on their own, not based on the transparency mechanic. Transparency is just a visual thing to guide the players.
    So this means that when a tree is, lets say 15m tall, and you knock it to the ground. When you approach it, it will turn transparent at less than 15m distance. But at that point you're still more than 15m from the furthest part of the tree to you. This means the tree will still act as camo between you and the enemies and you aren't spotting through it, it is in fact blocking your spotting. This is why with fallen trees you can't trust the visual transparency mechanic but instead judge the distance to the furthest part of the tree from you when you want to spot through it.
    This is 100% tested thing and this is how it works. Nothing is broken, it's just different mechanics and the limitations of the visual transparency mechanic with objects that are bigger.

    if anyone is confuse about 50+50=80%, he means that 80% is the max camo you can get ingame and to be sure that you always get the max camo % always do the 50+50 or 25+25+25+25 bush mechanic.

    People are still getting confused by stating that 50% + 50% = 80%. Rightly so because from a mathematical point of view this of course does not make any sense. It should therefore be pointed out that in WoT there is a practical limit of 80% camouflage offered by foliage. In other words, no matter how many 50% bushes or fallen trees you have between you and your opponent, the provided camouflage is never be higher than 80%.

    Love the guide and have a suggestion. Could you make a video specifically showing how to deal with EVEN 90s with other T8 lights? EVEN 90 doesn't really have a lot of counterplay other than passive scouting in an 80% bush and hoping he pushes into a single, but how do you decide when you think the EVEN will push? EVEN is top 10 most popular tank on every server cluster despite being a light, so every 3 mark session in T8 lights is basically you vs. EVEN 90. Even worse when you get an EVEN 90 and have to split your spotting with them or lose it entirely.

    kinda funny, that if you go full camo on a T30 (bounty exhaust, bond vents, BIA, camo paint, camo skills, exhaust directive and Cola) you can actually get the 36% stationary to make it invisible in bushes :D
    no one in their right mind would go for that set in a T30, but the fact that it is possible is kinda insane

    Very good info, but one thing it doesn't address in terms of my gameplay is 90% of the time im match made with potatoes playing with boxing gloves on. I can go to all the nice spots and keep things lit but all kidding aside half the team is dead in 2 minutes and the rest of the team are camping the back line in heavies. It keeps my winrate hovering at 48-50%. People will say "lrn to play better" but my spotting has little to do with half my team being in the garage before the battle is even really set up.

    First of all, congratulations on an excellent video. In the calculation file there seems to be an error in the 80% “after firing in bush” box (is the same as 50%). Furthermore, I believe that the calculation file is only valid for lights, because it does not take into account camouflage in motion and in motion after shooting. It's right? On the other hand, for me, there are also some errors in the calculation in motion, boxes "in bush" boxes (0,9 and 0.85 must be 0,875). Sorry my english

    Nonsense, there absolutely are broken bushes. For example some of the mid map bushes on Desert river, which do outright NOTHING. My ELC EVEN was spotted in them from 150 meters! I have 45% camo rating on my ELC. The enemy was a VIII tier British LT, which just popped out of the dune, some 150 meters away, and IMMEDIATELY spotted my stationary tank fully covered by the bush.

    When did camo started to work this way ? I haven't played for years and I can only remember that you have to pull back untill the bush becomes opaque befor firing. In light tanks I remember spotting in single bushes and never being detected before. Now I'm starting to play again regularly and I'm often spotted in my lights while passive scouting. That would explain why... Anyway it's way too complicated and now even behind bushes, 15 m behind u can be spotted 200 m away thanks to cvs ? There's no way trying to hide on many maps

      The camo and spotting system changed even before CVS was introduced. It's been like this since early 2018 when WG made the bushes and trees make more sense. There used to be everything 0-60% or so that foliage gave. The same looking trees on different maps could give different camo values. Now it's simple and allows you to plan your plays.

      When the bush is transparent to you, meaning when you're 15m or closer to it, it no longer clouds YOUR vision. You are at that point spotting through it. But from the enemy's point of view, it is camo for you. This is why when you shoot at the enemies from a bush, you should be over 15m from the bush so that it is no longer transparent and keeps its camo when you shoot.

    so basically that 36% camo mark just is, no explanation, WG decided it's gonna be that way, same with proxy spot... why it is 50m? because WG decided it's 50m, some game mechanics are just set at some value because somebody felt that it would be okay to have that value up there 🤷‍♂️
    another example: in NBA made by 2K there is a player stat "ball handling", if you have this stat at 86 or higher (range 25-99) you can run around your defender, but it you have the same exact player with just 85 ball handling, you won't get past the defender, he'll lock you in place like he glued you to the floor... why 86? nobody knows, it's just the way it is 🤷‍♂️ so I wouldn't look for an explanation for the 36% camo value being some calculated value, it's just a set value that WG picked...
    nonetherless an amazing explanation and the most important thing for me - the bush camo values, I knew they had different values, but didn't know what and how to recognise them 😅 so thank you very much Professor Iyouxin 💙

    • @Uberrandom
      @Uberrandom Рік тому +2

      36% is not random - CVS is reducing the maximum camo from bushes from 80% to 64%. The description is that bushes give -20% camo in the slot, and 80% times 80% is 64: so you add back 36% camo on the vehicle with 64% from bushes and that gives 100% camo, then you can only be spotted in proxy.

Lets not forget though that few years ago you were completely oblivious of the 80% hard cap for example. :D you've gone long way since and keep spreading this correct information to fight off the misinformation currently out there. I especially like that you're the first streamer to understand the Fisherman's Bay bushes thing. No one else, like QB and Dakillzor etc still doesn't get it.

    • @LethalWalou
      @LethalWalou Рік тому

      The 80% hard cap is a conscious choice. It stops every tank from achieving 100% camo and allows campers to get outspotted by tanks that are meant to outspot them. Now if you want near 100% camo in your HT you have to sacrifice one equipment slot for camo net and another for vents. And only some HTs get 20% camo that way. That's also when CVS kicks in and drops the hard cap to 64% so HTs aren't allowed to camp.

    • @chuihoi1423
      @chuihoi1423 Рік тому +2

      A replay from @Uberrandom in another comment may help you: "36% is not random - CVS is reducing the maximum camo from bushes from 80% to 64%. The description is that bushes give -20% camo in the slot, and 80% times 80% is 64: so you add back 36% camo on the vehicle with 64% from bushes and that gives 100% camo, then you can only be spotted in proxy."

    • @e_Moses
      @e_Moses Рік тому +2

      @@chuihoi1423 Keep in mind that 36% is what you need if you are stationary. If you are moving you'll need 41.15% camo while moving to only be spotted by proxy.

    All mechanics gives nothing, when bushes are broken. Fisherman bay is good example. From the south standing in bush on righ - you are invisible but you see throught bush enemy tanks. And it works only in that direction.

    • @iyouxin
      @iyouxin  2 місяці тому

      That's not true. I specifically checked fish bay bushes and the are working in the same way as explained in the video.
      The problem is that bushes are too close to each other

    • @Ulthion
      @Ulthion 2 місяці тому

      @@iyouxin But from the south if you stand in the bushes this on the right side - from where ppl are shooting into the city. You are there invisible - even on meds with around 32% camo but in the time you spoting everything what is behind bushes on the north side.
      And places like that on diferent maps is more. Its not about distance in that place.
      In the theme of camo - have you played longer on Blesk? i started woindering did his spoting point is higher than tank or something. Have on it 47% and in same places where i can "park" even bulldog or hwk30 on Blesk im all tie time spotted by everyone and have just permanent "wtf" on it :D
