Hi Tristen and CC. This is one on my favorite resorts and I have been to MANY All Inclusives in the Caribbean. My husband and I travel to Secrets Akumal every year now for the past four years. We already booked in May 2020. We are UVC members and not part of your group in February, but we will be there during your "Couples Trip" in February and hope you have a great time. I only saw a jr suite swim out but no preferred option. Is this extra or something they offered at the resort during check in? What is the difference with preferred?
Hi Samantha, here's what you generally receive (below). The private preferred club lounge was the biggest perk, plus we received nice discounts for spa services, and we had our own concierge located in our building (which really came in handy because you will have quite a few questions the first day or two). We enjoyed the option, but I wouldn't say it's an absolute necessity.

Hello. Can you tell me if the swim out pool is heated. i am booked next month in a swim out room and don't want a cold pool.
Hi Akiba. The swimout pool isn't heated. It's cool but not cold. It's around 80 degrees during the day.

Hi! Very close. The preferred club rooms are conveniently close to the beach and pools and the Seaside Grill. We love staying in preferred club for that reason. :)

It was paradise! Mosquitoes and air conditioning was a minor issue! Overall an excellent 8 nights!
