Everytime House expressed how he felt my eyes got watery because I knew how much he struggled to let people know how vulnerable he actually was...same thing when he offered to kill Thirteen, he showed how caring he actually was
I get that Huddy was very polarizing, and people felt bad for House because he was the guy we love even when he royally screws up, but Cuddy even admitted her fault in their breakup. She said that she thought she could handle it, but when it came down to it, the idea of House shutting himself off to “deal” with her cancer scare was not good enough. Pain happens when you care, she needed him to be there for her like she’s been there for him and he couldn’t do that without Vicodin. She didn’t say that she couldn’t handle him being an addict and relapsing, but if she couldn’t count on him at the first sign of trouble, how could she ever? Yes, she said that she could take it, but are we forgetting that the woman had a cancer scare? People can rethink and reevaluate their lives and choices, have you never taken something on that you thought you could handle but it turned out being too hard? Cuddy loved House so much, to flame her and praise House completely negates the point of their relationship and their breakup. Both of them wanted this so much. He knew from the beginning it wouldn’t last, yet you hate her for realizing it too late? Poor writing in mind, you all are being so reductive. Reality is, neither House nor Cuddy should’ve given up at the first sign of trouble.
Well people tend to pull for the main character in most stories but for me, their relationship reminds me my failed marriage. My problems just got to be too much and the only thing that brought me out of it was her ending the relationship. Caring is risky and painful at times. Sometimes too painful. But life without it is just cruel and I'd rather take the chance.
two years late comment :It's really poor writing, they just wanted to cut the character off due to a financial issue with the actress so they wrote her out ASAP with this shitty writing
This part brought tears to my eyes . It was always so hard for house to open up to people about his feelings and he really did love her and really did want to change but was hard due to his emptiness and emotional pain and fears .,he lashed out in anger from his pain of loosing her and finally told her he was hurt ., House really did want to be better but because of his problems within himself he was unable to cope snd deal with things rationally. I loved this show I watched all 8 seasons years ago and just watched them all over again . This was a really sad and touching part along with season 4 episode 97 seconds when he’s staring at the patient with that sad music then shows him in the office with the heartbreaking expression folding the knife in and out before shocking himself in the wall outlet
I figured why this hurts. A.) Because House was being vulnerable and honest about what he feels; B.) When Cuddy pulled away his arm, you knew there's no way they'll be getting back together, and C.) THEY USED THE SAME SOUNDTRACK DURING THE OPENING OF SEASON 7 WHEN HOUSE AND CUDDY WAS FINALLY MAKING LOVE AFTER 7 F*CKING YEARS
But its so hard being with an addict though, he was never there physically for her when she needed him most, he was so mean to her when she wanted to adopt, she just got tired and was done

Yes, but Cuddy shouldn’t be the one who try to get him talk. It is not healthy anyway an Ex ask about how the other feel, especially she was the one who end it. There are friends or a Shrink for talking about how much he hurts, but definitely not a job from an Ex. That is just get on his nerves, and maybe a little too self-centred.

House would never change. He's programmed himself to be a self centered, arrogant dickhead who's always in the right and will pick apart anything and everything he finds odd or interesting. He isn't the kind of person who can handle a relationship which involves feelings, because he refuses to understand how they work when it comes to others. He can always make it up by doing a movie to rekindle their relationship. Maybe Cuddy’s daughter has some unknown disease and Foreman lets Cuddy know House is alive to help find the diagnosis. Could also have Lucas cameo to be the one that tracks House down.
