This proves that the 707 is still very valuable.... Israel is a rich country and could have dream liners in the Air Force yet, the 707 can do the job and has proven itself for years. A great airplane continues to be great and timeless...they can keep them flying, no need to replace them. The US Air Force has kept their 707s and KC 135s and plans to continue using them...as long as the maintenance is kept up, they can continue flying.... many aviation enthusiasts appreciate the original jet engines as they are....yes they are loud and emit smoke, and it is acceptable because they are first generation jets and the Air Force is allowed to fly them as they are with no hush kits. The B-52s are from the same era as the 707s and they are kept flying. These are great aircraft and still very valuable. In fact, take a good look at them They are so well designed by forward thinking engineers, they still look futuristic and sleek. In the opinion of many, they are better looking than today's airliners. The typical 2 engine airliner is less interesting...with oversized engines, flexible wings smokeless and quiet...is boring and makes you yawn..... yes they save money however, these first generation jets B-52 and 707, have been kept flying because they took make money for their owners. and when they taxi to the runway and place their jets on takeoff thrust, you hear that distinctive roar, and ground shaking rumble and you get reminded of what a real jet aircraft should sound like.....a rocket with wings....and it is still impressive just the way like when they first entered service as they replaced the propelled driven aircraft. People rushed to the airport to see them.... and today in 2024, we are lucky to see them still around!!!!! Bravo Israeli Air Force!!!
That's a wonderful piece of footage. The nostalgia for those of us old enough to remember sights like this is great. The sight of a Boeing 707 climbing into an orange twilight sky could be straight from the 1960 or 70s. Beautifully recorded too. I really enjoyed it. Well done.
Hi mate, Just wondering if i can use some of this footage in my uni thesis presentation? is completely non-profit/ fair use. Just using footage of the horizontal stabiliser vibrating
I prefer those long skinny tube engines compared to the big guy turbofans we got now a days. It makes the quad engine planes look speedy. I wish one day I can spot one in real life before they're all out of commission. nice video

Couldn’t agree more! Maybe one day you get lucky just like i did with this catch!

It sure is!
I wish I could some day see a B707
Wooow! So nice
Thank youu
Beautiful 😻 🎉
Thanks Java 😄
I would not think JT3 engines equipped aircraft would be allowed to land in Belgrade. No noise restrictions?
Not as far as i am aware, for takeoffs maybe. IL76 is, for example, fine to land on 30 but not to take off…
Beautiful Loud and smoky that why it my favorite 😂
I flew 707 back in 1979 from BEG to JFK
How was it?
not much different than today's flights across the ocean, I was young and eager to get into USA to study... today 10 hour flights are killing me
I flew Concorde once JFK-CDG and that is the only "difference" between flights I could make distinctive - all others are same old same
@@barbika57 Very lucky that you have flown with Concorde!
The flaps are literally just flaps
The old engines are so noisy and highly polluting. Nevertheless, it is amazing to see such an old bird still flying.
Ovo je tanker avion, ne znam što je baš kod nas sleteo
kupio jeftino gorivo da napuni tankove, ha ha ha
# 4 Still Stuck in reverse on after landing taxi,
Typical for JT3D engines
It's a refueller.
