It’s painful just to look at it. Dude, buy a lens, in it the gas escapes through the mesh, the flow is smoother and it protects the steel from oxidation much better. Pull the electrode out 3-4mm and rest the burner on the ceramic - you will touch it less often. an electrode for steel 1-1.5 mm needs 1 mm or 1.6 - the electrode heats up better and facilitates ionization of the gas. Weld the pipes in a piece of corner - you won't mess with the alignment. I often weld on a yacht or floating boat, sometimes in strong winds. watch other people's videos and don't pay attention to the negativity. At first I also wanted to write “look how I can ruin the pipe”
Start practicing with some filler! U can charge more if ya get that real uniform and dont cook it! Somethin soft underneath so it doesn’t scratch (I understand this is a demonstration) but hell yeah! Those are together baby!
Welder/Fabricator here..his is not how u tig weld. You do not dip the tungsten rod into your work. You create and arc and heat the base metal without touching tungsten to the work while dipping filler material into your puddle while moving at a constant speed ultimately creating a bead that binds both peieces of metal as one.
Nor do you apply as much heat with the finger trigger/ foot pedal.... Ease off that shit bro, you are toasting that stainless. Take it from a professional welder fabricator
Can't defend much here, but he's running on lift arc or scratch start, so he has to touch off. He also doesn't have a foot pedal, so his current is set. Yeah it's still bad, but it could be worse I guess.

This is welding. Look up Autogenous welding. It’s an approved process for stainless steel.

where is the filler rod? how using it without filler rod?
There is no gap between the pipes. Then you can weld without filter wire.
