Looking for a dual temp swim spa but having a hard time discerning best brand for price. A lot of people seem to swear by Master Spa but was recently turned on to Catalina. Any experience with Catalina or another similar brand? The Swim function is not important as this is meant to be a pool replacement for leisure only with water features and lighting for outdoor ambiance at night. Thanks in advance.
Good afternoon, in my opinion, I would go with Master Spas. I have worked with the factory on numerous occasions and they're really good people. I also feel the quality is better. However, Master Spas will be substantially more expensive. Catalina does make a reasonable product for the price. However, I would look at the service. Who's going to service it when there's a problem? Does your dealer have an in house service team? Is it contracted out? Who do you talk to when you have a chemical question? I would pick a dealer that has this in place for you. In the swim spa industry it's very important to understand you're going to get what you pay for. There really isn't a cheaper swim spa that's going to have the longevity, endurance, and performance backed by a great manufacturer for less than 25k. I hate to say it but it is what it is. Good afternoon, great question! I would stick to the sport models or the 13 family fun play pool. I love the 13 FFP for exactly that. I would wet test the different swim spas and make your decision based on your experience.
