Awhile back on my facebook fan page (go check it out if ya haven't yet!), I put out a vote for the next Disney cover. Whichever song had the most likes by the end of the week, I would cover no matter what. Strangely enough, THIS was the people's choice! Yeah, I was just as surprised xD But not mad at all! I love the sass of this song, and I think we can all relate to it, at some point or another ;) I hope y'all enjoy and let me know what you think, and what other Disney tracks you're looking for~

I know this is two months old, but, you do know that's not the main reason people change the pronouns right?
In all originals the pronoun matches the gender of the one singing it. A cover often reflects the same thought pattern, that's all.
But, he didn't change the pronouns??? They're the same as the ones in the movie?????
or, you know, people can do what they want because of artistic freedom...
what if it was the opposite? what if it was a woman doing a cover for her girlfriend?
but hey, it's just how you feel about it- nothing wrong with that
well it doesn't necessarily need to be ABOUT/FOR anyone; that's kind of the point of this whole comment chain. It doesn't matter what pronouns someone uses because it is only a cover - it's only a reflection of something substantial in their life if they specify that it is, so unless they do trying to use the pronouns (or anything in the covers for that matter) as evidence of anything at all is meaningless. People should be able to sing what they want, when they want, how they want.

This is a quality cover. Props to you, just in general, and props to you for not changing pronouns. I know from experience that it just gets annoying and takes the fun out of a song while trying to change "she" to "he" or "man" to "woman". Great job.
Ehh, if the pronouns don't affect the rhyme scheme or rhythm, I don't mind pronoun swaps. But I don't insist on them either. And this version is gold.

I love how he didn't change the "man" and "girl" places, I hate when people sing covers and change it, I want it EXACTLY like in the movie just the opposite gender without having to listen to songs with the pitch just lower so I can just get the soothing satisfaction of hearing a man singing a woman's song and vise versa!
There's actually one song where it has tons of male covers, but they keep changing the lyrics so it fits their gender, and I mean, I guess that's cool if that's what you wanna do, but really? Not one man will sing the song without changing the lyrics at all!? How am I supposed to think of yaoi when your talking about being with women when I thought you were gonna keep the lyrics the same,lol!?
