I mean, he had a point on playing the same character but with a new interpretation for a new universe. That being said, Disney KNOWS how big of a deal James McAvoy was for Charles and they know that it will bring big money 💰 if they brought him back

it’s part of the same franchise. he was contracted for first class, which was really good. he was probably contracted for all three movies right there.
