I first saw Nile back in 1998 befor i even know who they were. They opened up for Morbid Angel. Nile took the stage and started playing...i was instantly blown away. It was LOUD, It was CLEAR It sounded AMAZING. I remember saying, "Holy sh*t, that guy is playing a Fender Strat"!

I always liked Nile a lot back in the 90s and early 2000s. My favorite band was Obituary because I prefer the slower, grooving style. Nobody could touch Obituary imo. Nile was damn good though.
I was there beating people to Thy Infernal, Nile, Incantation, and Morbid Angel. I wish I could go back to that night. This inspired me the most to do drums and vocals for Necessary Evil (Free To Kill) 2000.
That was an awesome video! When I first heard Nile back then it was otherworldly to me, I couldn't understand how any humans could create such amazing music, I thought they were aliens! When I finally saw them live I was a bit disheartened that a fat, white, blonde guy was playing all the guitar solos, it was just not what I had pictured in my mind when I was listening to Amongst The Catacombs. Nevertheless, Nile fucking rules!
Bryan Papineau That's the cool thing about death metal, looks don't mean shit, the music is what fucking matters. \m/ You can get your art out even if you're a short fat dude, whose the last short fat pop star you ever heard of?

Was at this show. They took Vader's place. The lineup was Thy Infernal, Nile, Incantation and Morbid Angel. Such a raging show.
