Burn Cell #2 - Competent ignition source was a 9v battery that came into contact with steel wool. The wire of the steel wool acted as a conductor, allowing the electricity to ignite the steel wool coating, and in turn the ordinary combustible materials inside of the paper bag.

Probably not real leather, but synthetic, which is petro-chemical based and burns more easily and fiercely.
