We worked really hard on the rules revisions to make them very clean, yet concise. We were well aware of the rules that kept cropping up as skipped, or missed. It was a fun game to work on, and play.
I had a ton of issues with the original version of the game, where the infantry just did not want to stay in the bases. I even sent a complaint letter and got a new batch of units and bases with the same problems. Every time you touched the infantry bases, the guys would fall out. I really love the game, but it really kills the fun. When I heard a new version came out, I wondered if these infantry have the same problem? I understand it's a different manufacturer/distributor.
Curious about the scale of the plastic soldiers? Why? because I have an idea of using them with the Advanced Squad Leader Starter Kit Rules using the Deluxe ASL Boards.....The game seems ok , eya set up would be a pain, but I've seen many games have this issues.
***** Thanks for the in depth response I actually own HoN and Memoir, I already love Memoir I just have not played HoN yet..... I got it for Xmas still in shrink wrap. I love Memoir just looking for something a tiny bit meatier.
***** I keep the infantry stuck in the bases during storage which means it's much easier to bring things out since all you you to do is swap a few things. That being said I haven't played this in 3 years since the coffin box is underneath a ton of boxes now and thus it's a bear to bring out!
Hello!. I´m a wargaming beginner and I got the original game for Xmas and have played 3-4 solitaire games of an introductory scenario. Have only used the action phase and the status phase to learn the basic rules, no victory points or strategy cards. Have had fun. What should I do next?
Hello Marco, I had the Original Game from FFG but sold it , and now regret it. Tell me do the GMT trays fit inside the new box or do you store the troops outside the box?
I've played the original. Too much effort for too little fun. I wish I had four hands...so I could give this game four thumbs down. Heroes of Normandie is much, much, much better. In my opinion, of course.
Love your back catalogue of review Marco!
Thanks for all your hard work and advice, Marco!
Your videos are great! Thanks a lot for another great review Marco! :D

Good, clear and brief explanation of TOI. Is there a chance to have some more practical details, planned over some episodes . . . Thanks already !

Enemy Coast Ahead is there! Hovering 10 inches to the left of Marco's head!
Nice review the game reminds me of memoir 44
Marco, do you think this would be a good first wargame for a 12 year old? Or would Memoir '44 be a better option? Thanks

Play Clash of Elites! Is a great step up from Mons Again!
There aren't many playthrough videos of TOI. It's not very popular

Stephen Poulin I use 2 gmt trays to store soldiers and counters, and they do fit in the box, if just barely :)
Your outfit looks like the top Captain Kirk wore in Star Trek ToS. Your are just missing the StarFleet logo. ;-)
