  • Hi Folks! Hope this video about a mons resections is helpful! Just a note: mons resections aren't gender specific but this video is catered towards trans masculine people as this is my personal experience and a common surgery in the community.

    Funny enough, years ago it was your videos that introduced me to meta. I had my first stage in October, and yesterday had my consult for part two, and mentioned this as a possible part of it, never heard of it, and you’re the first video I found when looking it up. So thank you for literally helping me with my entire surgery

    That's so interesting. I'd never heard of this before! Thank you so much for the explanation. I don't think they do it at the trans clinic here, as they never mentioned it. Best of luck with the surgery next month! I hope you'll have an uneventful recovery.

    I’m a cis American woman and love your videos. Very informative. I found the decluttering video very helpful as i have been trying to downsize, a task i find so difficult. I’ve been a subscriber for years…back in your Leo Mateus, college days. ❤️

    Okay so there's no like option for me. I accidentally hit dislike like three times! So sorry. I am very much looking forward to following you on this journey. There's really barely any information on this procedure and personally, I consider it to be quite an important one. Glad to see you back, Ocean.

    I specifically was looking for surgeons who do this in tandem with meta when I started looking a couple of years ago in NYC. I now live in Spain!! so I’m even more interested to know how this goes & details!

      Oh interesting! Dr Jesus Lagos also does Meta! So I would reccommend looking into him! :)

    Thank you for the information, I now know what it's called that I want to have done! Much gratitude to you, and thank you for the illustrations as well. I have been trying to figure out what it's called, and debating asking if it's covered by my insurance here in the US under gender affirming care.
    It's a bit of a three different things going on with me, I've lost weight, want to just look better, but want to ... uhm... see what I have down there... *blushing Thank you for the body positivity as well! I'm happy to see artists who don't think we all should be stick people!
    I've lost about 60 lbs, and now all my skin is sagging so there's lots of overlapping going on from my waist down. After starting T 8 years ago, my arms and legs really got lean, but all the fat redistributed to my middle and settled in for the long haul lol
    I wish informative videos like these didn't get demonetized. These are much needed for anyone looking for information on things that can be done to help with dysphoria, or even just weight loss terms in general for surgical procedures.

      That's okay! It might be called monsplasty too.
      I totally understand what you mean about your body. I wonder if our feelings about our mons' would change if there was more representation around bigger people, especially in the trans sphere. Hopefully I can help with that!

      @@Ocean_Grove I'm so happy that you represent people better with your art, it's magnificent to see a body that looks like mine in an artistic setting ☺ Thank you so much for that!

    Just curious is it possible to have a mons resection as part of another surgery such as a hysto/meta/phallo?

    I wish more people would be comfortable using anatomical and biological language... I blame the victorians myself inserting so many ridioculous innuendos and indirect language. 1890 version of this video would be like: "hello I'm Ocean and I'm going to have a snip taken off my Gates of Hercules, and in the Year of Our Lord Eighteen Hundred and Ninety, I shall visit Dr. Thomas Gremshaw Esquire who will take his herculean aparatus to remove, like Shylock wanted to in the Bard's masterpiece Merchant of Venice, a small district of my Netherlands... imagine removing the Kingdom of the Belgiums from the rest of the Low Countries. and that is what will happen!"
    Thankyou for being open to describe some of these medical procedures, Ocean, your videos make a difference.

    • @Ocean_Grove
      @Ocean_Grove  5 місяців тому +4

      No but why do I kind of love the “gates of Hercules” reference 😂😂 maybe I’ll start my videos like “1 week post gates of Hercules snip”

    Honest question...why not just get liposuction in that area? This sounds more invasive for the same kind of thing. So just curious.

    • @Ocean_Grove
      @Ocean_Grove  5 місяців тому +2

      Hello! So having lipo wouldn’t really change the positioning of the clitoris/t dick like a resection would! It may leave extra skin that might hide the structure.

    • @MrGrumpyGills
      @MrGrumpyGills 4 місяці тому +2

      Best results will come from lipo AND removal of skin.
      As the channel owner mentioned, just having lipo would not pull up the meta to a better/more natural position, since there'd be excess skin left.
      OTOH the opposite doesn't necessarily work well, either. My surgeon only removed skin on my mons without doing any lipo and sadly over the following months the fat tissue expanded the remaining skin again, so I'm almost back to where I was before the surgery.
      This means I'll have to get surgery again and hopefully it'll be done properly this time.

    • @RSG555
      @RSG555 4 місяці тому +1

      My surgeon actually did lipo on my mons during my body masculinization and while there is less fat there, there is definitely the remaining skin. Lipo can do a lot but it does not reverse skin elasticity.
