Check out the site "All Things Cherokee" in which I will quote partially: "In the end, the term you choose to use (as an Indian or non-Indian) is your own personal choice. Very few Indians that I know care either way." However if you've learned what tribe they are from it is better to acknowledge them that way, out of respect.

I'm a white man that worships Native Americans, but to say Sitting Bull is better than Jesus doesn't sound right. Both were great men. I don't believe Jesus was the son of God, just a man trying to make lives better... like Sitting Bull.

There were over 500 nations and thousands of tribes here for milennia prior to colonization, and your great settlers led to the deaths of HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of men, women and children. I never said any woman who was killed "deserved" it, but what could an invading population who had already killed millions expect, IF in fact Tasunke Witko did what your white historians say.
